I would like to see other higher ig/ desirable items in the auction. Maybe a PD auction? Or a PD item or two that could only be bought with PD (maybe labeled auction A, B etc so it doesn't get jumbled in with numbers?)
Hmm, okay, so besides a regular auction (in which people automatically bid with CR) you would like to see an auction for PD only?
Yes, or bonus PD exclusive auction items
CR is hard to come by if you don't buy them
And I don't have the budget to buy

And i think it may be more accessible for others to join too
the entire point of those rares auctions is to get cr out of the system

We would still love to know if there's any feedback on how we're currently doing the auctions! Is it good like this, or would you like to see something done differently?

Is it at all possible to do them the way the monthly auctions are done, where you enter the bid and it's sent automatically if you win?

it’s 10 items each week. I think it will be hard or they have to do only 1 item each week and that sucks.

They would have to code a whole new auction system, I'm sure the current one can't work with separate items instead of sets and monthly auction creates new items while they need to redistribute existing items

It's just easier/cheaper to do it manually

not much you can do while keeping the current format tbh. other formats would require resources the site currently doesn't have - like enbette mentioned above.

i've said it many times by now but the most crucial part is keeping the bids updated as they come in so that ppl know if they were outbid. i've followed the auctions closely and have noted that there's been a few cases where ppl weren't aware they were outbid until the last day which i think is unfair. of course you could cast the blame on them for not paying attention to other ppl's bids, but i think that responsibility falls on the admins since they are the ones running the auction and also the only ones who can update the bids on the first page. constant monitoring by the admins is a big ask but you also can't complain if you don't accept help. i won't repeat this again so you can just assume that's my answer if you don't see me posting otherwise.

but yeah. nothing can be changed right now to make it better.

that requires adding code which we can't do and would be pretty useless as we WILL eventually run out of stuff to auction on the weekly rares auction, the supply is not infinite and even if we did have the money right now, it'd be a waste to make a code for something that might end in half a year to a year.

After we got that criticism, we're trying our best to update the bids whenever we see any new ones. I disagree with you that it falls only on the admins. With the existing format and even other formats that aren't code-related, we'd be very limited and require being online all the time, which is just impossible even if Tess and I both had all the time in the world and had no jobs to do work here.

The only thing I can think of is an outside website; with a bidding system, but that would need testing, and require people to adjust again, finding such a website that's easy to learn and use, and doesn't cost anything as if we can't put money atm for coding for our website, how could we pay for something external? especially when it's something temporary?

The only thing I could think of is a discord bot but that would require people to use discord and enter a server dedicated for that, which not everyone would agree with, but it would be better automated

But we'll need tests for that, which I am down for trying IF anyone here wants to join and help me test it so later on we can ask the rest of the community if it's something that could work for majority of people

it's been a little more reasonable bc i barely see the auction thread on the main page on the weekdays. i can excuse sundays for not being able to keep up with the bids though since it gets rapid fire at that point.

making a dedicated discord server would at least shift the responsibility a bit imo since then you can say "should've checked the discord". i can definitely join however i haven't worked with discord bots a bunch so i can't help on the backend setting up itself sadly. it would technically require more work from you though since you still have to update the bids on the forum for the ppl who don't want to join the server.
