can i ask what you would focus on? enbette has stated that none of the site upgrades we've asked for can be achieved on the way the site is currently coded (including wardrobe changes, mobile friendliness, many other features that require coding which is just about everything)

i agree that i don't want the site's theme to change by much, however updating the coding of the site is huuuuuge priority if you ask me
^
couldn't have said it better
I really don't mean any offense but isn't it possible to achieve the same design with a different (and more modern) code behind it all? I have seen people rebuilt the complete look of win95 with modern code and apart from very minor differenced (eg the way you click on things) it looks exactly the same.
in theory sure, but it always comes back to the skills and tools of the front-end dev tbh. vp's current layout is not too far off from the school projects i did almost a decade ago (sharp-edged boxes galore) and ppl were barely tipping their toes in the mobile friendliness territory. i never managed to make a working mobile friendly page lmao which either means we had shitty tools or a shitty teacher... or the third secret and most probable answer: both since our teacher's knowledge was ancient at that point and the tools our school provided were severely outdated even for the time

i haven't kept up with modern front-end coding, but i imagine nowadays instead of having to find the code to round the edges, you now have to figure out a way to straighten them (/j)

Nah i do think vip needs some redesign but maybe more so in terms of making it easier to navigate. Like putting more focus on bettering blog’s visibility and maybe individual creation for blogs, profile and startalk etc.
i heavily agree w this!!! doesn't mean it has to lose its playful retro vibe but i do think the site can really benefit from better navigation + more customisation + warderobe overhaul that also changes how the wd looks bc navigating can be such a pain

i also think we should focus on blogs more, since the front page already features it in some degree!! make the new blog on the front page thing bigger and actually show the blog in some way!!

I agree, there seems to be a lot of support in core team for better blogs and forum systems already, so I am certain thT is something we will work on

What do you mean twitter/Tumblr type system? Like reposts? Or infinite scrolling? Can you elaborate 😅

One day i wish...

However fun fact. If you change genders, you still "own" items of the previous if you transition
So is someone started as a Male user, and changes their account to female, I have noticed that their name may still show up as "owning" male items! Which i think is really neat. Because it means that information is saved SOMEWHERE, and all those items dont just *poof* vanish because of the transition

Yeah, that's why hypothetical normal (and free) gender switch or even fem+male looks at the same time (like with a switch so anyone can see both your looks, not the same as you changing gender) is totally possible to make

Still, there's a lot of restricting gendered code, + fav looks work weird

I can proudly say that token system's code is not like this, almost nothing stops you from buying male sets on fem acc (other than uhh not seeing male items in the shop or not being able to wear/sell them without gender change haha),
so yeah I'm not making it harder for future self if we decide to do non-gendered wardrobes, I'm keeping this possibility in mind
