Sidney sat by her window, smoking a cigarette. She blew the smoke out after taking a long pull. She was happy to be here with all of her friends, though sometimes she didn't want to be bothered. She took another pull and then put out the cigarette. 

Brian was still asleep, sprawled out on his bed, snoring. He'd stayed up all night, and now he was catching up on his sleep.

phillip leaned against the refrigerator, sipping his coffee. "Number one rule at work is only hook up with someone if that's all you're going to do. Don't get feelings involved. I learned that the hard way." He recalled after one night with a woman at his old job, her nearly getting them both fired after she had gone on a rampage hearing that he didn't like her in that way.
