As Tessa spotted a boy being the first to sit in the circle, this prompted her to go and have a seat as well. She sat down a bit away from him, and glanced at him whenever he wasn't looking. He seemed to be the only person in the room who was her age so far. Everyone else looked to be above thirty or something. It didn't take long until everyone were starting to get seated as well, probably prompted by the two of them sitting down. Funny how people just copy other people's behaviour. She sat in silence, observing everyone and how they were interacting - or not interacting - with each other. One was sitting with a few cookies in her hand. She looked well above forty, and had thin, wispy hair. She gave Tessa the creeps. The rest looked fairly normal, she thought.
Only two people were talking with each other, so she supposed they knew each other from elsewhere, considering this was a first time group. At least that's what she was told by her psychiatrist. That way, her psychiatrist had said, she wouldn't be the only new person, and it might be easier for her to blend in.
She heard the door open once more. This time the stream of people entering the room had died down, so it seemed to catch everyone's attention. Through the door walked a guy, dressed in vintage clothing, who strolled through the room as if this wasn't his first rodeo. He sat down on one of the chairs, somewhat aggressively, she thought, and leaned back in the chair, in a manner that suggested he was way too comfortable with the whole situation. He crossed his legs, his right foot resting atop his left knee, and he caught her eye. She didn't break eye contact at first, but then started to feel awkward, as neither did he. She looked away, staring at people's feet, while absentmindedly picking at the skin on her fingers, waiting for the meeting to start. It didn't seem like the coordinator of the meeting had arrived yet, so everyone was doing as she was - minding their own business.
(oh btw, do you wanna play the coordinator/therapist-thingy or should i?)
