Troy headed towards the classroom slowly, it was biology, a course he'd been forced to re-take in order to graduate, among others. He hated all science-related subjects, well, truly, he hated pretty much all subjects. History was fun sometimes, but only if it was about America winning a war. He was quite the patriot.
"Hey, Troy", a couple of flush-faced girls greeted him as he took his usual spot in the classroom, in the back. He talked to a few team-mates about the game, before sighing loudly as his worst enemy, John the snail walked in. Class was in session, or for Troy, nap-time.

Lori knew she would have to introduce herself to the class as soon as she walked in. This, in combination with the vile stench the teacher that had escorted her mistook for perfume, made Lori feel kind of nauseous. With one hand on the door, she took a last, deep breath, before entering the classroom.
Her eyes quickly scanned the entire class. Seemed pretty average, no stand-outs. The teacher, young enough to be her brother, gave her an unsteady handshake before trying to catch the attention of a class that clearly did not view him as an authority in the slightest.
"Please, let's all take a moment to welcome our new student, Lori Reed, why don't you have a seat over there?", the only empty seat, near the teacher's desk. Perfect, she sighed as she dragged her feet and sat down.
