Kendra nodded gently at TJ and placed a short tower of coins that totalled the cost of the shots. She glanced at him after a moment, spotting the crease between his brows. She met his gaze for a moment and held it, a slight smile pulling at the corner of her lip before taking another toke of her cigarette and flicking her eyes down to the four shots. She lifted one and put it to her lips, knocking it back before going to take the next. She paused upon hearing Elspeth and relaxed her hand, smoking a little more instead. She listened to the question and flicked her eyes at Ben for a moment with amusement glittering in her eyes, before looking back at Elspeth. "I've not seen Benji for a while. I've been travelling the last couple of years and thought I'd head through here to see him on my way. I take it he hasn't mentioned me?" She asked, though the answer was obvious.
"Kendra." Ben murmured, looking across at her for a moment and meeting her gaze, not exactly frowning, but not looking particularly happy either. He looked away again, and in a flash, like nothing had happened, he turned to Elspeth. "What are your plans for the rest of the day?" He asked, as if she hadn't asked Kendra a question at all. Him butting in was his way of severing the communication between them, not wanting Kendra to interfere with his work life. The quicker he could get her out of here, the better. He glanced at TJ after asking Elspeth the question, giving him the sign that he was happy with him joining the conversation too. His body was angled, with Kendra more or less at his back, making it obvious he didn't want her there.
