Maybe this was one thing he couldn’t do. - - - There were a few moments of silence where Carson wasn’t sure if she was going to move or not but she finally did with her arms crossed and eyes directed towards the floor. Carson picked up his belongings and followed her out, closing the door behind him as they made their way out of the building in silence towards his car. “So are you at university right now or college?” he asked her, trying to start up some type of conversation. She had told him not to befriend her but this was just a simple question he figured spouses should know about eachother. He unlocked the car and got into the drivers side before starting up the car.

romany was frustrated with herself for going ahead of this. there was no other way out of this though, as far as she could see. she needed the money and the only way for that to be guaranteed was to stay in this shamble of a marriage with carson. she hated him, she truly did, he had ruined a big part of her childhood and she just couldn't forgive him for that. lifting her head when she heard him, she shrugged. "I was supposed to go to university but I messed up my last year of exams. I got myself into a little bit of trouble with the wrong people and now I have ridiculous amounts of debt to pay off in a short amount of time. I do a little bit of modelling work part time to get me through the month but it's not enough any more." she went on, soon shutting up though. she got in the car, sliding the seatbelt on. "how about you, what do you do?"

Not that she was ugly when she was in high-school, more like she hadn’t yet discovered herself and her beauty. It was almost like she was hiding it from the world, not that teenage Carson knew this of course. “What don’t I do?” he asked jokingly but it had a hint of truth behind it. After school he’d gotten caught up in a lot of twisted deals, deals that left him out of pocket and in a lot of trouble. No matter how hard he’d tried to stay on the straight and narrow he ended up in the same position time and time again. “My life’s messed up, so I was hoping that this deal would finally put me back on the right track,” he said with a nod of his head as he stopped at a red light, glancing over at Romany. “Are you like vegetarian or lactose intolerant or anything? I need to know so we don’t go to like a steak house or anything,” he told her, tapping his fingers lightly on the wheel as he waited for the lights to change.
