He hung his suit jacket up in the rack and raised an eyebrow, heading in, his jaw dropping when he saw Ashby. "Oh my goodness, what are you doing here?" He couldn't help but grin. Lillian's rushed over to him and took a hold of him in her arms, kissing his cheek over and over. "I knew it, I knew you'd come back! I'm so happy to see you!" Ashby laughed, giving cassias mom a hug, grinning over at cassia. "Well this is a nice surprise."

Evangeline rested her head against him gently, stroking up and down his body, she let out a little sigh. "Well if you ever need her to stop here, my door is always open. Seeing her and Layla together is sweet, I'm sure she wouldn't mind having a few more sleepovers and it gives your family a break too." She closed her eyes for a moment and just let herself relax into him. "Me too. Today has been exhausting. Seb, can I ask you something?" She hesitated.

''It has. it's been so long, and of course, what is it baby?'' he asked as he sat up straight and looked at her.

evangelien stayed quiet for a little while, trying to figure out what she wanted to say to him exactly. "Now that you know about Layla.. things between us aren't going to change are they? You've just been a bit distant tonight that's all.. and I know you're upset about your brothers wife but I just feel like maybe it's been a bit too much.. I dunno." She frowned, looking down at he really hands in her lap. "I guess I'm trying to say if you wanna quit this now then go.. because I don't think me or Layla can face the rejection once we're in too deep."

But I'm ok with it and its not going to change us. I'm not leaving you, I'm not that guy I promise,'' he said as he took her hand. ''Just going to take some getting use to, you know?''

Evangeline had a few tears in her eyes and she quickly pushed them off her cheeks, trying to pull herself together. "Okay because I know we've only just started getting a bit serious but I really like you Sebastian and I know when Layla gets to know you she will love you too. And I don't want you to think I want you to be her dad or something because that's not what I want but.. don't be scared to interact with her or whatever." She smiled a little, shrugging. "I can't believe I'm bloody, crying, I feel so stupid." She couldn't help but let out s little laugh.

Seb hated that she was crying, he didn't want her to think he didn't care or anything like that. ''Hey, hey don't cry,'' he said as he wiped her tears gently. ''I can do that. I just wasn't sure how much you wanted me to interact with her and stuff, if she was to know about us and stuff. I'll just be like I am with Mia, I've heard I'm great with her apparently, according to my sister in law,'' he laughed. ''You aren't stupid, it's been a long and emotional day. How about we take the girls to the zoo this weekend, that way I can bond with Layla and get to know her a bit maybe?''

Evangeline shrugged and rubbed her eyes roughly, getting rid of the last of the tears, she smiled up at him, stroking his jawline gently. At that moment she was glad of their age difference, that he was that little bit more grown up and understoodnthe situation. "I'll let her know eventually but there's just never been a man round the house so it might be a bit weird for her, that's all. She will love you though I know. And the zoo sounds perfect." She got up when she heard the door and fetched their food.

Seb nodded ''That sounds good to me. For now I'll just be mummy's very handsome friend,'' he said with a wink s he kissed her cheek. ''Great, I'll make some arrangements and make the weekend extra special for us,'' he said as he headed into the kitchen to get plates and stuff. ''Ok, ready to begin the night in your way,'' he said with a grin before he grabbed a bottle of wine and walked back into the living room with that and the plates.
