Dymitrius shook his head, letting out a little laugh, not because what she said was funny but it was just his reaction, because everything around them felt stupid. It was just a stupid place to be and he wanted to run away from it all forever. “The longer you’re spending down there the more I can feel you changing and it doesn’t feel like you.” His fingertips traced slowly up her arm, gazing into her eyes, listening to her words and that last sentence broke him. It got to him bad and he fell to his knees, his head in his hands as the tears began to flow. Up in til now he was able to distract himself but the reality was hitting him again and he sobbed as he knelt there in the cool pavement.

Gabbie raised a eyebrow at her mother. “We both know that’s exactly what he wanted the outcome of this to be. He wants me banished from my angelic beliefs for good, he wants it all to himself and he can’t stand the fact him happy without having to accept my duties.” It was all so complicated, Angel laws and what was allowed but all Gabbie knew was that she hadn’t actually done anything wrong. “But he’s not his father, he’s not even anyways related to the devil. He’s so stuck up his own ass, all of this is bullshit!” She exclaimed, not being able to hold herself back any more, all that anger bursting out. “He shouldn’t have the opportunity. I need to tell them what he’s been up to.. surely someone will believe me.”

"Your brother chose to 'grant' me a power.. the moment I enter heaven I lose my senses. all of them." Now the tears were rolling down her cheeks and she grabbed for some tissues to quickly mop them up, "there are some that are wary because there is no proof of you having killed anyone.. we could try and get the message through to them. Show them that you aren't some sort of beast like Christian wants them to believe."

Gabbie frowned. “He’s going too far. He’s getting power crazy and someone needs to show him they’re not afraid of him.” She suddenly came up with a plan. “Momma, can you message me next time he comes round here? I promise you I won’t hurt him. I just think I need to speak to him, I want him to face the reality.” She reached over and took her hand. “And hell isnt so bad if you wanted to go down there, you’d get to keep all your senses and dad wouldn’t let any harm come to you.” She had to laugh at the thought of her mother down there. But she would have been down there before, otherwise Gabbie wouldn’t exist. “It’s not just my reputation. It’s ruining my marriage, too. I don’t care if I’m allowed up there but Connor is my soul mate.”

I know I'm not always the best at showing it and I have been so hard on you lately but I love you with all of my heart." her eyes shifted away at the mention of going to hell and she shook her head, "I'm not sure Hell is the place for me but perhaps a visit wouldn't hurt." Looking back over at the werewolf sat on her sofa she released a breath that she hadn't noticed she was holding in, "the two of you are .. good together. even if its hard for me to admit."

Connor had stayed quiet, not wanting to meddle in family affairs plus, he didn't understand any of the laws on Heaven or Hell for that matter. Most of this was like a foreign language but what he did understand was that Christian was a sack of shit that needed kicked out onto the curb, "Thank you, I appreciate that you can see that. I love your daughter, more than life itself and whatever your son is trying to do needs to stop. I won't have him try and play mind games with my family."

Gabbie shook her head. “I won’t get myself hurt, especially now.” But she decided to end it there. Her mother didn’t deserve to know she was pregnant yet, she wanted to bask in it for a little longer and she wanted to make sure they were in the safe period before they began to tell anyone other than their very close family, aka Sasha and D and Luna. “I love you too momma. And I promise I’m gonna visit more often, I know you mean well, you always do.” She turned her head to Connor when he said family though and her eyes widened a touch as she stared at him. Focusing into his mind, something which took a lot more effort than it should have, we aren’t telling her yet! she demanded.

Angelette wasn't entirely sure what that meant but assumed it was because she was in a fresh marriage and that getting hurt now might affect that honey moon phase that she herself had so long wanted to return to. Her husband, Christians father, had died when the kids were young and for an angel you were never meant to move on after your love one was lost. "You are both always welcome, I hope you know that."

Connor hadn't even thought about his use of words until Gabbie's voice entered his mind and he kept his eyes away from her as to not give the game away to her mum that they were silently communicating, okay okay sorry ! I didn't even think. my lips are sealed I promise little one. "We would also love for you to come round for a meal at ours, it would be lovely if you got to know my side of the family a little more, its been quite some time since we lived next door to yourself." he said with a light hearted laugh.

Gabbie was glad when her mother dropped it. And they’re all so friendly, honestly. I think you could really learn to tolerate the wolves, if you tried hard enough, mom.” Gabbie just felt more relaxed knowing that she wasn’t going mad, but the guilt was eating her alive now. She had blamed so much of this in Connor, on his selfish indulgence and the poor boy was having his heart manipulated. She had some serious making up to do. “Well me and Connor are busy for the rest of the day, but what about Tuesday?l she said standing up.

Luna felt like she was back on cloud nine after hearing Dymitrius calling his little one, it was ridiculous how such a simple little phrase could brighten up her entire body. That however seemed to slip at the nasty words coming out of Sashas mouth and the squeeze from D's hand kept her from flying off the handle, "Sasha I know you are hurting right now but I did everything I could to help you.. I don't know what the doctors told you but I reversed a lot of damage to your brain." There was no point of arguing and she gave D's hand another squeeze, "but I'm not here to talk about that, I'm here for Dymitrius."

Angelette had got on somewhat well with Karl, at least he had respect for her and what she was and didn't cross any barriers when they had spoke. "Well I would love that, I can try and become a little more acquainted with your kind Connor, it only seems right since you are looking out for Gabbie as much as you are." Standing up along with them she nodded eagerly, "Tuesday sounds perfect to me." as they all headed towards the door she gave her daughter one last hug, "please take care of yourself and stay safe, the pair of you." waving them off she shut the door behind them.

Connor didn't say too much else in the house but he said his goodbyes and was thankful to be out of the house. It wasn't that he didn't like Gabbies mum, though it had taken time to come round to her, it was that the house felt so .. white and perfect and he was anything but. He was messy and reckless, the two didn't exactly mix. "At least we got some answers, though I still want to punch your brother in the face." he had said once they were both safely back in the car.

This was something he’d ever ugh he’d have to do in his lifetime but after crying his heart out, his mind felt a little clearer.

Gabbie was so proud of her mother, she’d come on leaps and bounds and it almost felt like she wasn’t afraid of Connor any more. And who could be? He was a gentle giant. Giving her mother one last squeeze, she kissed her on the cheek. “I will momma, don’t you worry about a thing.” She reassured her, pushing her hair over her shoulder the walk to the car was silent, but as soon as that front door was closed and her mother was out of sight, she reached over and grabbed Connors shirt in her fists, pulling him closer for the most sultry and intimate kiss she had given him in a long time. She had a lot of making up to do but a kiss would be a good start. “I’m sorry I didn’t believe you..” she whispered quietly, pulling away from him.

Luna felt small flutters fill her up as her companion stood up for her, they were so much stronger when they were fighting in each others corner. Giving sasha a simple smile she chose not to say anything in fear of angering the wolf again. Letting her thumb rub against Dymitrius fingers she found herself feeling anxious and she wasnt exactly sure if seeing the unborn child was a good idea but if Dymitrius throught it was she would follow.

Connor was caught off guard when gabbie practically threw herself into his lips and he slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her in close. He indulged in the kiss, his body feeling lighter than it had for the passed few days. All of his worries were melting away and it meant everything to him. Once they pulled apart he looked down into her eyes, "Dont apologise little one, I don't blame you I sounded insane. I'm just glad we know the truth now so that we can sort this."

Gabbie nodded slowly, her cheeks a little pink when she eventually pulled her lips away though she didn’t want to. Now she’d had a taste of him again she never wanted to let him go and she wanted to stay in his hold for the rest of eternity. “I know but I should have believed you, I should have known you were telling me the truth but I just got so pissed off.” She sighed a little, looking up at him, her hand letting go of the fistful of T-shirt it was clinging too and she rested it against his jawline. “Let’s go home. I think we’ve got some talking to do.” She modded once, finally letting go of him she sat back into her seat properly, pulling her seatbelt on.

Slipping her hand into D's she brought it up to her lips again and pressed a very gentle kiss to his knuckles, "yes we can." and the trio walked along the corridor towards where they had been instructed and as the nurse held the door open for them she felt her heart crumble into a trillion pieces and her grip on Dymitrius hand tightened.

Connor wanted to pull her lips right back into his, shower her in kisses and then once they were home he would bundle her up close to him and never let go. "How were you to know Gabbie? With what we went though with the hellhound side coming through I don't blame you one bit. I'm just glad you can stand looking at me again. It was hard watching you go through everything and not even be able to hold you.." but he let his voice trail off, not wanting to make her upset because then they would never get home. "Homeward bound.. but maybe we could make a slight detour through McDonalds because your wolfie is absolutely starving." he chuckled, heading out of this side of town and towards their home.

They had wrapped her up in a beautiful white blanket and she looked just like she was sleeping, yet so tiny if he touched her he feared he would break her.

Gabbie shrugged. “I was just scared of losing you and it made me act out.” She said quietly, settling into her seat but her hand found his. Not bothering to argue any more because it wasn’t worth it.. there wasn’t anything to argue over. Both of them weren’t in the wrong, it was that damn angel and her stupid brother, too. “My wolfie..” she beamed, looking over at the handsome wolf that was sat next to her driving. The love she had for him flooding back, like she’d broken down a dam and was finally being allowed to feel all of his love and emotions all over again and it was hitting her like a tsunami, like her body was being overloaded in the best way possible.

Connor drove towards the McDonalds, ordering himself some food and giving Gabbie the opportunity to add anything she wanted before he paid and took the bags into the car, setting them on the backseat for now. "I know it's not ideal timing but I'll need to hold a tribe meeting on behalf of Dymitrius... he's struggling and I've never really seen him like this before." he admitted. It was hard for him to see his older brother looking so lost when normally he was bossing his young ass around. "and perhaps we could pop in and visit Sasha again, maybe bring her a change of clothes and whatever else you can think of." What their friends were going through was scary and he found himself slipping his hand out of Gabbie's so that he could touch her delicate tummy for the first time since finding out their own special news.

Here I am worrying about my own selfish desires and my best friend is in hospital after.. after..” she couldn’t bring herself to say the words, instead closing her eyes tight for a moment, wishing the tears away, and this time it worked. “Yeah, if you wanna collect your meeting and I’ll get them some bits and pieces together, I still have her spare key.” She nodded slowly. She brought her hand down to rest over his and it was like their little family created some kind of sealed bind, feeling her own eyes twinkling and Connors began to turn golden. “But I’m not going to talk about this..” she nodded to her stomach. “.. until Sasha has had her time to grieve. It wouldn’t feel right, boasting about it in front of her.”
