Dymitrius was being deadly serious but when that smirk arrived on his girls face his serious frown faltered and he just shook his head at her, grasping her chin in his hand he tugged her a little closer to him. “You do have a pretty face though, little one.” He cooed, kissing her just once before letting her go so she could continue talking, nodding slowly. He would be lying if he said he wasn’t a little apprehensive about the challenge but he would ensure that his love was more than ready to win and Connor would be able to help, too. He took a step back, his arms loosely crossed and he watched her very carefully, the room falling silent apart form the small crackle coming from the fire that was beginning to engulf her hands. And then her eyes, her beautiful eyes. “That’s my girl..” he whispered, cupping her face and gazing into her eyes. There was so much that was writhing in those deep pupils of hers. “You are something else, huh? Just think of the fucking power you have now.”
Gabbie had almost fallen asleep on the sofa, even in the middle of all this chaos she had managed to settle into a moment of peace and it felt so necessary. She’d barely done anything and her body felt exhausted. Her hands were caressing the beneath if her baby bump and she jumped just a little but when she heard his voice, blinking a couple of times, letting her eyes adjust to the daytime again. Reaching her hand out for him she tugged him to the sofa so he was sat next to her, and then nuzzled herself into his side. His warmth and comfort was the perfect addition. “Don’t be sorry, I know you can’t help it. Are you feeling better now?” She asked him, letting her fingers slot between his, bringing it to rest against her bump, knowing it would bring him at least a little bit of serenity. “I’m sorry for not locking the door. I just wanted to make sure you could get in.”
