Terrance nodded once again, then looked around at those who raised their hands. Tessa had hers raised as well, but noticed that Cooper hadn't. He looked to be unamused by the question.

"Would anyone like to share what it is that makes them feel anxious about public transportation?" The therapist asked. Tessa thought about the question and about her psychiatrist and the exercises she had been given, so she raised her hand slightly.

"The, uh... There's a lot of people." Terrance nodded in accord, and said, "Yes, good. Why is this anxiety inducing?" The question was posed openly, for everyone to contribute, and Tessa looked away, as she felt as if she wasn't required to answer.

Cooper leaned further back into his seat and looked up at the ceiling. He got that this was generalised therapy, so not everything would apply to everyone, and this was certainly one of the things.

Benjamin slowly raised his hand.
"I get anxiety because it feels like people are staring at me and judging my body." He figured he might as well tell the complete truth, instead of just saying it felt like people just generally judged him. "And, um...", he started fidgeting as his eating disorder was quite hard for him to talk about, but he knew people weren't supposed to judge him here, so he continued. "As I am recovering from my eating disorder still, it makes it hard to keep going, to not just stop eating again. If that makes sense?"

Terrance smiled at Benjamin after he had spoken up. "It does. Thank you for sharing that." He paused for a moment, before speaking once more. "Alright, I think now is a good time to have a coffee break, and you can all get a little bit more acquainted. After the break, I would like for us all to try some exercises, now that we're on the topic of anxiety. At the end of today's session we can discuss what topics you might like to focus on next week." As he finished his sentence, he clapped his hands on his thighs and got up with an exhale of breath. He went over to the table with the coffee and cookies and grabbed himself a cup of coffee, as the first person here.

The rest of the group seemed to follow troop. The older looking ones were the first to get up and grab a cup of coffee, whereas the rest who weren't so eager for coffee or cookies looked a little more perplexed and less at home - that included Tessa.

A few other people got up and walked out the door, supposedly for a cigarette, she figured. She noticed the guy, Cooper, was one of those people.

Benjamin saw some people go outside, probably for a smoke; among them was Cooper, so Benjamin figured he could talk to him a little. So, he followed the group of people outside and went up to Cooper.
"Hey. You got a cigarette to dispose of?"
Benjamin figured, that even if Cooper didn't even smoke at all, they could still maybe talk for a bit.

At the same time, Alex was still sitting in his chair, the grip on his jeans tightening as he heard people socialise and felt he should too; but it was as if he was glied to his chair, and his neck was permanently bent so he looked at the ground. He couldn't make himself even lift his head to just... look at someone. Or look at people in general. It was simply impossible.

As Cooper stood outside and was in the middle of wiggling a cigarette out of his pack, he heard someone speak to him. He looked up and was met by the guy who had spoken, right before the break. He couldn't quite remember his name, but didn't bother to ask.

"Yeah, sure," he said, as he got out another cigarette and handed it to the guy, before putting his pack away. He lit his own cigarette, then offered his lighter, in case the other guy also needed a light.

Inside, Tessa was still sitting in her seat, along with a few other people, who also seemed to have a bit of trouble with socializing. Of course it was easier if you smoked, because then you sort of already had something to talk about, but she didn't smoke, and so she was left here, in her seat. She noticed a younger looking boy, probably around her age, sitting and staring down at his feet, and a seemingly older lady also just absentmindedly looking at something. None of them seemed interested in making a move towards talking, and neither was she. Or well, she had no problem with talking, it's just that she didn't know how to. And so she remained in her seat, looking around the room and observing the others.

"Thanks", Benjamin said with a smile as he took the lighter and lit his cigarette before giving it back. "I don't particularly smoke very much, so I never really bother to bring my own packet." He let out a short laugh and took a whiff of the cigarette before continuing. "Cooper, was it? I'm Benjamin. You can call me Benji, though."
Might as well repeat my name just in case, he thought. Cooper hadn't seemed to pay too much attention to the names anyway, so it was probably safe to assume he didn't remember Benjamin's.
"What are you here for, if you don't mind me asking?

Alex had shot a glance up from the ground and noticed a girl who seemed to be around his age, and his gaze had gotten stuck again. He hated that that happened to him at times; he looked at someone and then just couldn't stop staring. It didn't have to be for any particular reason, either, he just got stuck, just like he usually got stuck staring at the ground.

Cooper nodded, as Benjamin introduced himself once more. "Well, you know, this and that," he said and shrugged. He took a long drag of his cigarette and leaned back against the wall of the building, looking at Benjamin. He knew he would probably have to disclose his problems sooner or later, but he chose later. Seeing as he already knew what Benjamin was here for, however, he was unsure of what next to say, so he just kept smoking.

As Tessa was silently observing the people in the room, she noticed the boy who had been previously staring at his feet, now had his eyes locked on her. She kept eye contact with him for a while out of curiosity, but as he didn't say or do anything other than stare, she started feeling slightly awkward and just looked away again. She glanced back at the boy once in a while, to see if he was still staring, and if he was, she would keep the eye contact as before for a while, before looking away once more.

"Right." Benjamin had tried, but Cooper didn't seem too talkative at the moment. Or at least not too good at making a conversation.
He took a drag of his cigarette and looked down on the ground, the feeling of being judged creeping through his body. He let out the smoke with a shaky smile.

Alex wanted to talk to the girl, he really wanted to; she seemed nice. But he just couldn't, his anxiety was keeping him back. So, he kept staring at her while taking deep breaths in an attempt to calm down and maybe eventually get the courage to talk to the girl.

Cooper was normally talkative, but he felt out of his comfort zone being here. He had more or less been forced here, and although he had his diagnosis, he refused to acknowledge needing help. He had been doing just fine on his own, he thought - although his final GPA from high school proved otherwise. After having finished smoking his cigarette he gave Benjamin a courteous nod and went inside again.

Inside, people were still on break and Tessa checked the clock on the wall. It had been ten minutes. She figured maybe the break would be fifteen minutes then. As the boy across from her kept staring, she got up and went over to the table with cookies and coffee. He looked very nice, she though. Who at this meeting didn't seem odd, though. She grabbed and started nibbling at it, when she noticed Cooper enter the room again. He stopped, as if he was scouring the room for something to do, then walked over to the table where she was standing. She moved aside, while not looking at him, and he grabbed a cup and poured some coffee for himself, while still standing next to her.

"Well that went great", Benjamin mumbled to himself. "Way to go, Benji. What a great conversationalist you are." He finished his own cigarette before throwing it on the ground and putting it out with his foot, before going back inside. Feeling defeated by himself, he quietly took a seat back on his chair, slightly disgusted by people eating. He let out a sigh and stared down at the ground.

Alex was still staring. Even when the girl had left her chair, his eyes just followed her, watched her every movement. She probably thought he was weird now, and she would think he was gonna stalk her, and she would never even look at him again and she'd walk faster if she ever noticed him behind her and she'd sit as far away from him as possible at the rest of the meetings - if she ever even came back after being so creeped out by him and-
He stopped himself. Irrational thoughts. She's not gonna avoid these meeting just because you stared at her. He took a deep breath, trying to remind himself of what his psychiatrist had told him about telling himself his thought were irrational. She won't think you'll stalk her.

Cooper stood next to Tessa as he sipped his coffee, and observed the people in the room. He then noticed Alex staring at her, while she seemed to be looking the other way, nibbling at a cookie.

"Looks like you've got an admirer," he said, jokingly. Tessa looked up at him, baffled at the comment. "I- What?" She must've looked like a confused deer or something, because her response prompted Cooper to let out a small chuckle. He nodded in Alex' direction, then looked at Tessa. She simply stared at him without responding, as she had no idea how to. Inside her head, she was frantically fumbling for words, but nothing seemed to form a coherent sentence, so she remained silent, however with the still confused look plastered all over her face.

Cooper observed her for a while, but then rolled his eyes and walked over to reclaim his seat. On his way, he stared at Alex, trying to catch his eye.
