The trip had been better than expected. While talking shit with the girls in the backseat, Viktor had been surprisingly sparse with his snarky remarks and comments on gossip he had no real clue about. When they got out though, Elena tensed up. The cabin looked the same... almost. There was something off. As she stepped out of the car and grabbed a bag, a chill went down her spine.
"Why's there an open window?", She exclaimed.

Viktor was tired from driving for four hours, and so when he got out the plan was simple; get everything inside the cabin, take a nap, and hopefully get enough energy to start having fun. As he started unloading the back of the car, he heard Elena comment on the window being open. In all fairness, it was kind of strange, but then again, he knew their parents loaned the cabin to other people occasionally.
"Dad probably borrowed it to some idiot. It's fine, we'll just fire up the fireplace and the place will be warm again in no time", He said, but Elena didn't seem to accept the explanation. She walked up to the door which, even more strangely, was unlocked.
"Elena, don't go in, Will and I'll go check just to make sure nothing's wrong first, okay?", He had brought a gun, a gun he had been given at the age of 12 from his father. He had brought two of them, as a kind of fun surprise. He enjoyed shooting stuff, like bottles. Now didn't seem quite as fun though, he thought as he stuffed the gun in his hoodie discreetly and began walking up to the door.

So the idea is that the murderer left through the back door abruptly after hearing their car. The window is open to let the smell of a dead animal out > an animal that anyone who wants can find. Other than that, the murderer has left objects in the basement (if you want, your character can find something, like photographs of victims, knives, etc) and then the kitchen also. As the only logical thing to do after finding stuff like this in your cabin would be to leave, I thought maybe a good ol' canadian snowstorm would make them have to stay the night at least, and during the night, said murderer will ruin their car. With a snowstorm so intense and no way of driving away, they realize their only chance is to fight back.
Just a little note on objects and the murderer
- Please check with me before finding an important object (something that could change the plot in a major way)
- If the murderer does something to your character, run it by me beforehand. It's totally fine, I'd just like to know (you can mail me if you want to keep it a secret, or just write it in this thread).
- Feel free to come with suggestions, comments, questions, particularly if you feel like something's wrong (can't come up with anything to write, not being able to be online for a period of time etc).
Turned into a very long post, but oh well.
