It took a long time for Rowan to convince her mother she was okay and that she could leave her alone now. When she finally did, Rowan had time to process it all. With her mother's endless rambling, there was little space for Rowan to try and collect herself. She went to the bathroom. They had cleaned her up, but she did have some small cuts here and there. And her head hurt, the doctor had said it was a concussion, but she would be medicated for it. Her doctor was great, but very expensive.
She went back to her room and changed, her mother had left her clothes and snacks, as well as all the gifts. It was weird, she hadn't been at the hospital for more than a couple of hours, yet there were flowers and get-well stuffed animals everywhere. What a waste, she thought as took out her phone to text Samuel and ask if he was alright.
Dean's mother had to leave quite early, she was working a 12-hour shift and god knew after these medical bills, she would need the money. Dean felt guilty, he was an adult, he should have at least been able to pay some of it. Unfortunately, he was already drowning in debt and there was no way in hell he would be able to pay for his medical care on his own.
He looked at himself in the mirror. While one eye was patched, the other one was was weirdly spotty. Veins that had popped made him look like he was addicted to some dangerous drug. He wondered what his eye looked like under the patch. Not being able to see through it was was a shame, but hell, he could've lost a arm or something. An eye isn't too bad.
The scars on his face would heal as well, but his arm was sprained, he could tell.
