Maybe we’ll skip to them discussing the accident together at Rowan’s house (in preparation for court) and superpowers are uncovered just as her parents step in and tell them that they won (money + a compensation trip that will maybe lead to an internship at one of the best labs out there in order to motivate them to actually go?? They’re all semi interested in science if they take it in college I guess??)

Dean hadn't been sleeping well. And the thought of medical bills didn't exactly help. Luckily, all his exams were pushed back to next year, he was basically free to do whatever for a few months. He should probably get a job or something, he thought while brushing through his hair with his fingers before existing the dorm. Some woman had asked her to come to her house, they were suing the school and wanted every witness they could get. And since Dean didn't have the money to sue the school himself, he didn't really have a choice. 
He wasn't expecting much, though. Hopefully enough to cover half of the bills that were coming after his injuries.

Suing the school to pay for everything felt a bit grand in scale but he wasn't complaining. Like everyone else, he could use the money.
