Aaron was fast asleep with Felicity in his arms. Last night had been incredible, it was amazing to see his favourite person again and then to get to kiss her how he had always wanted to made it even better. He just wasn't sure what to do from here, did he tell her? Explain why he left? He shook his head, he couldn't. If he did he would be putting her at risk and that is the one thing he had been trying not to do.

Felicity awoke the morning after, her head thumping a little but other than that she was extremely happy. Turning to the guy next to her, she sighed. Felicity had enjoyed the previous night so much but she just couldn't bring herself to stay for much longer. It would have been so awkward. Climbing out of bed, she pulled on her knickers and small dress, glancing in the mirror to tidy her hair up when a picture caught her eye. A picture that had her in it, to be precise. Her eyes widened and she was unsure of what to do.

Felicity picked up the picture. Him, and her, together. It was him. She knew she recognised his face from the moment he had said hello to her she had recognised his face. So many emotions were running through her body as she sat on the edge of the bed, feeling her legs trembling beneath her. She had so many questions but all she could manage was a few small tears escaping.

Felicty rubbed the tears away quickly and stood up, keeping a tight hold of the picture as all he really precious thoughts came flooding back. Her best friend in the entire world, the one person she had depended on, had disappeared without a trace. And here he was now. She couldn't believe it. "Where the fuck have you been Mat? I needed you. I needed you so much and you just left and you didn't even say bye to me. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" She yelled, her face crumpling.

Mat put his head in his hands and sighed "Im so sorry Fliss. I'm so sorry. I know I wasn't there and it hurts me so much that I wasn't there I had no choice. I needed to protect you. I still need to protect you from things you don't know about," he said as he stood up and took her hand. "I never meant to hurt you but I needed to keep you safe. I couldn't keep my family safe so I had to do whatever I could to keep you safe. I never wanted to leave you," he whispers.

Felicity sobbed quietly as she listened to him, her eyes on him the whole time, until he took a hold of her hand and she quickly pulled it away. Comforting contact was something she hated nowadays, she really wasn't good with getting close to people physically. Her niece was really the only person she would hug now. "But I don't understand.. we were best friends and I used to tell you everything. Why couldn't you just tell me what was going on instead of hiding it from me for all this time? And last night.. you didn't even bother to tell me you were back!" She was becoming frustrated again.

''I didn't know what to do last night, it's a mental battle because I wanted to tell you so bad but I wasn't sure if I should have or not.'' he said with a sigh. ''listen, how about we make some breakfast and I will tell you over that? its a long story and it may make you a bit upset,'' he said sadly. She had been close to his family like he had been to hers so if she knew they were dead he had a feeling it would really upset her.

Who even are you, Mat?" She frowned, crossing her arms over her chest she looked down at the ground for a little while as she contemplated how she felt at that moment. "Make me a coffee and then tell me. No bullshit, imfeel loke ie swallowed enough of that already." Sighing, she pulled the sleeves of her jacket over her hands.
