The Other world || Sayaka & Allyse

"Sarah and Katy don't know each other until they get into a strange senario, a red moon appears and time stands still, all of a sudden they're in another world, much different from the normal planet Earth. They both have to survive in this world for an amount of hours until the red moon disappears, this world is full of creatures you only read about in books or see in movies; vampires, to other people with superpowers. Later they start to notice there is also a special power in them."

My character:

Sarah is a 16 years old girl who is the Drama club leader at her school. She's calm and listens to everyone's opinions and their ideas. She doesn't like to be called a boss, since she thinks everyone is equal in her world. She's that kind of person that is happy, but doesn't show it that much. She lives in Yokohama with her mum, since her dad is always away for his job somewhere in Europe.
Her special ability is healing. Whenever someone is heavenly wounded in her team, she can feel it from far away. She knows at that moment where her partner is and can heal that person.
Her headphones turns into a bow in the other world.

My eyes were searching for something, someone, as I entered the school. It was Monday and I was, what it looked like, too early at school. Not many students were here, and so that means the one had to talk to isn't here either. I decided to walk towards the club room and surprisingly one of the members were here already. ,, Hey, how was your weekend?" I asked asI walked towards a table that was covered with costumes. We were busy with a new play. It was about a girl who got lost in the woods. It was simple, but Ann and I were still busy with writing the script. ,,My weekend was ok, thank you for asking. How do you like the costumes I made with Glenn?" I picked up a white ripped dress; the dress that will be used for the scene after the fight with some wolves. I nodded and faced Quinn with a smile. ,, You two did an amazing job."

Once again, I was running late for school. Running with breakfast in my mouth, I eventually got into school with a minute to spare. My brother, Eiichi, and sister, Kaiya, were already in their classes while I, Katy, was once again the late one in the class. Being late for every school day wasn't so bad. It means I can being introverted and avoid the creepy phenomenon known as "socialising"; a concept which I've still failed to grasp. When I entered my tutor class, late as usual, I sat down in my seat next to two classmates who I don't even know their names yet (and I've been in this school for a year now!). They often try to talk to me with remarks such as "How are you?" and "What did you do last night?", all of them ending in me being super awkward and stuttering.

Tutor time was about to start...

English class was the first thing I had on my schedule. Because of my dad i went up with my English, I'm now getting so much better scores than before. I looked to the board, while our teacher was writing something down. Checking homework, presentation... And more tasks we would do today. After the first three hours, it was lunch break. I sighed with relieve, like I just escaped from a nightmare, and walked towards the club room. As I opened the door, I didn't see anyone yet. As I closed to door behind me, and leaving my schoolbag on the floor, I grabbed the clothes and put them somewhere safe, like in the big closet we have here. As I grabbed some, I heard the door open again, followed by a male voice. Not later the others entered the room and we started a conversation about the play.

For me, my first lesson after tutor time was mathematics, something which I'm both bad at and absolutely despise! I'm dropping down in grades by every lesson as the maths gets harder. Lunch break was...with lack of a better term...weird. The sky was strangely dark for this time in the afternoon. It wasn't the sky I'd normally associate with mid afternoon. It was much more bleak than usual and I felt much colder, even though it was a clear blue sky and the sun was out. Then I heard a male voice approaching the balcony door....

After being in a state of panic, I decided to approach the door. The sky was beginning to get darker with every step I took towards the door. "What is going on?", I said crazily talking to myself. With no one else up here, I started to regret being introverted....and started wishing that there was someone else up here with me, to at least help protect me.

Eventually, I grabbed the door knob. The sky was now almost completely dark. This was at 1pm baring in mind and it was dark. I began to worry so much that my hands become cold and I began to shake with terror. I had to go down anyway for next lesson in a few minutes so I had to go through the door at some point. As I opened, the voice became louder and louder, to the point where it become unbearable.

I opened the door fully....
Nothing. Nothing was there. The sound stopped. The sky remained pitch black. A sudden light though appeared in the sky...the moon...at 1pm...appeared. It was blood red. I began to think I was dreaming up some horror movie...

Running towards a classroom, without my bag, was maybe not the smartest idea. But after I ended up at the classroom I'm supposed to be, no one was there either. I sighed, something is going on and i have to find out what it is.

I walked around, looking for any clues, the building was empty, it looked like it was abandoned. It was really silent, and my footsteps echoed trough the hallways, going towards the exit of this building.

After that terrifying event, I started to catch my breath back. My heart beat still at critical levels and my breathing was still rapid as ever. I clambered myself back up after falling over from the sheer shock of seeing the sky blood red. Not only was the mood red, but now the entire sky was blood red. Lunch bell rang. Nothing. No footsteps. No discussions to be heard. "Maybe I'm late?", I, again, crazily talked to myself. I ran down the stairs from the balcony to check things out. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Every room I entered had nothing; even my next lesson of English was abandoned. Was I dreaming? Did I pass out on the balcony? I pinched myself to check. Nothing. Except I was now bleeding from my skin after pinching myself.

I walked around shouting out things such as "is anyone there?", just to have some hope of not being alone in this strange blood red world. Then I heard echoes of footsteps. Was it another person? Was it another thing? What was creating that sound?

After taking a few steps forward, I found my answer. I saw another female figured standing their bemused and confused (almost as confused as I was)....

I kept quiet when she stood in front of me and then turned my head to the window. The positive thing is, I'm not alone. I smiled and turned my head back to her. ,,I guess you're also confused about what's happening here," I said as I turned around, ,,follow me, I want to view the sky better." As I started to walk, I looked behind me. The girl was unsure if she would follow me, it seemed, but ended up following. She must be from this school, since I can see it by her uniform. ,, My name is Sarah, and I'm from class 3-B. How about you?"

I approached her. I breathed a massive sigh of relief. Another person! Finally. I'm not alone. I'm not alone in this world, that's a good start. In usual "Katy style", I began super awkwardly, even when I'm terrified and scared of this world, awkwardness always wins in my world.

This adorable, I must say adorable, girl seemed to be the sort of girl who was always up for something and super hyper; I could tell by her movements and her sudden speech towards me.

She told me her name was Sarah and that was was from class 3-B. I replied "M-My name is K-Katy. I'm from class 2-A. N-Nice to meet you Sarah..." . I said, totally not awkward or anything. I said this while following her outside to see the sky with a better view.

As we outside, I couldn't help but feel we weren't alone. Too scared to say anything, I tapped Sarah on the shoulder and pointed behind me. I knew there was nothing, but I couldn't help but feel open and watched now that we were outside in the playground....

As I looked up to the sky, nothing but black and red was all you could see. It also seemed night, since there was a red moon. This is indeed strange, too strange to be real in any way!

Katy tapped on my shoulder and I faced her, she seemed terrified, at least really scared. I looked at the empty football field, which was on the left side of the building, where Katy was pointing to. I didn't know what she mean with that... But I guess we have to take look there. I took off without saying anything and walked up to the field.

The field was empty, but there were some balls on the ground. I picked one up and looked at Katy's way. I don't know why she sent me here. I felt something pulling my shirt and I turned around.

I was glad that Sarah got the message: move or I'll freak out. That was the point of my tap, if my terrified expression didn't give it away. She took off. I then grabbed her by the hand, to the football field. I was shaking so badly just approaching it, I think Sarah got annoyed by the shaking as she was fine and didn't shake at all; maybe I was annoying her? I felt bad about shaking so badly so I left go of her hand and continued..I didn't want to bother or annoy her...even if I was wrong...she reached the field first

When we entered the field, Sarah randomly picked up a random ball. I didn't question it. As soon as I turned around again, I heard her scream.

When I saw her, I saw nothing. I saw her school dress being dragged by something invisible. She was screaming so loudly I heard my ear drums burst. I ran out as fast as I could. But, as soon as I got to her, the "thing" let go, and dropped Sarah to the ground. I went on the floor with her to comfort her...

She was crying...and there was nothing I could say or do...

"A-Are you okay? C-Can I help in any way? Oh gosh...I'm so useless...I-I'm sorry..."

It felt like hours went by, me and Katy were hanging out in the music classroom. While grabbing a chair, I looked at Katy's away. She was looking outside the window, and it seemed like she was thinking about something. I shrugged, and sat down. Maybe some music will calm me down. I grabbed my mp3 out of a little pocket in my dress and turned it on. It didn't seem to work. The mp3 was working, but just not my music. When I clicked on play, nothing was working. My mp3 started to heat up and I unplugged it as fast as I could, followed by throwing it on the ground.

As time went by, Sarah and I were in the music room. She began to try and play music through her mp3 player. Where she got it from that beautiful dress I'll never know! She does look amazing in that dress....A-ANYWAY! It turned out that her MP3 was not playing music...I could tell that this upset her...she even threw it on the ground...I don't know if that was out of anger or sadness...I decided to stay out of it and sit in a corner of the classroom. I could tell that Sarah needed time alone...we were both in pain after what just happened.

In the classroom, while just sitting around, I felt like I needed to know Sarah better. If Sarah and I are the only people in this bleak world, then we should probably know more about each other. Otherwise things might get awkward really quickly....I-I mean, it's already awkward as it is after I blushed whilst she held my hand....

"S-So", I said, "Where do you live? Who do you live with?"....I said super awkwardly....I looked down like I expected no response....
