You're new to the city, after your parents divorce you decided to pack up and start fresh. You move into a building in the heart of downtown, as you're going down to the use the gym you realize you forgot your swipe key. It's early in the morning and you doubt that anyone will be there. To your surprise you find another female working out, after countless knocks on the door she finally opens up and lets you in. The two of you start talking and you've made yourself your first friend. Over the next few weeks you go over almost everyday after work and gossip over some wine. It's not the only reason why you go over, your new friend has the hottest boyfriend ever. You can't help but try to look good when you're around them, but you always feel guilty. A couple of months later, your friend finds out that her work is giving her the opportunity of a lifetime. She gets to spend the next 3 months in France and blogging about her experience. You know this is the perfect chance to get to know her boyfriend a little bit better, you know that their relationship has been on the rocks for a few weeks now. The two of you guys start hanging out, he makes you feel so special, but you can never seem to get the image of your friend out of your head when you are with him. Can you convince him to break it off with her, or will the guilt take over and will you back down?

Abbie stood on the steps of the building, her friend Kim was leaving for a few months. She watched as she said goodbye to her boyfriend Finn, and swiped in when they finally let go. "Ugh! I'm going to miss you so much, are you super that you have to go?" She laughed and hugged her very tightly, Kim had been her only friend and she felt that there was going to be a void now that she was leaving for her internship in France. She said her final goodbyes and watched as she got into the car, it would be a long three months. She looked at Finn and smiled once Kim had been gone, she knew that it was probably hard on him as well. Sure, they were going through a rough patch, but he still cared for her. "I'm sorry that she's gone..." She shivered softly, as she was in a sports bra and shorts since she had just gone for her morning run. She looked at the time, "did you want to grab some lunch? We could go to that new burger place?" She knew Kim was a health freak and didn't allow them to eat out.

Jett sipped on his morning coffee, he had gotten to the office pretty early. He had been on a paid internship for awhile now, he hadn't really gotten to move up in the company yet. He rolled his eyes when his 'boss' walked into the office, calling him Jeff. He sighed when he was demanded that he picked up the overseas intern that morning. "Sure thing Sir, I will go to the airport now!" He grabbed his coffee cup and shut down his computer, with a marker he made a sign for the new girl. It would be nice to have someone to talk to, and to share his frustration. Once he got into his car, he put on some music and started to drive. He was planning on taking his time, he really just didn't want to be at work that day. Once he got to the airport, he grabbed his coffee and the sign and made his away over to the arrivals section

Kim hugged Finn so hard he struggled to breathe, "Behave.." She whispered while holding around him, having a little smile on her. Then she turned around to Abbie, her best friend. "I'm gonna miss you too, remember to tell me about everything that is happening over here!" Kim's arms were around Abbie tightly and she did not want to let go. This was a big and scary step for Kim, something that could change her whole life. Then she walked over to the car and got in, waving to them one last time before it drove off. Kim plugged in the earphones and everything went by so fast and before she could say anything else she was in France. Her big dream job and a new world under her feets. She picked up everything she had with her and went out to the terminal. There a guy was standing with her name on a sign and a big smile grew on her face when she saw it. Kim walked fast over to the guy, "Hi I'm Kimberly.." and reached out her hand to seem a bit professional.

Finn was hugging Kim, while nodding to what she said. "Bye.. love you." Then he let her go watched Kim and Abbie hug it out and talk. He was still a bit scared to let her leave alone to France but just needed to live with it, because this was her dream. Then to the car she went and he was standing beside Abbie waving, and he turned over to looking at Abbie and just smiled a bit. Finn was almost on the small breaking point but when she asked about the burger place he lit up a bit. "It's okay, she needs to follow her dreams..." he was thinking a little bit before answering her question, "Yeah, that would great... Maybe you need to change first?" He laughed a little bit and dragged a hand through his hair to fix it a little bit.

She felt bad that he was going to be alone for the next few months, she knew that he wasn't the best cook and thought she would help him while Kim was gone. "So, Kim asked me to watch out for you when she was gone. I'm working from home for the next couple days and thought that I would bake you a few casseroles and bring them over?" She stated as she stepped into the elevator with him.

Jett was answering a few emails on his phone when he heard that her plane had arrived, he stood up and held up the sign for her. He smiled when a young girl emerged from the crowd and walked over to him, he shook her hand to be friendly. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Jett, I'm a fellow intern at the magazine." He smiled, knowing that she had a bigger part, she would be blogging about her experience while he was just a coffee boy. He grabbed her bags, "We have a busy day ahead of us. I'm going to bring you over to the flat that you'll be staying in while you're here." He walked out to his car with her. "Where are you from?"

Also, thank you for picking me up, so nice of you." He started walking and Kim followed, "I'm from London, and you? With that accent you sound like you are from around here. She liked the accent gave him a little extra, like she had her London accent.

Finn felt a little free when he said yes to Abbie, because often he wasn't allowed to go out alone. It was a nice thing, getting to decide what to do. Even though it was only going out with a friend to eat. "Even though I think you would get a lot of numbers going out like that." He had a smile on his face while walking beside her to the building. "Kim fixes everything for me.." He laughed a bit and nodded to what she has said. Finn knew Kim did it because she loved him, but that was one of the small reasons he felt trapped, always someone watching over him. Not letting him do anything stupid. "But I'll send you a message or something like that if I go out, okay?" He went in the elevator after her.

And it's really not fair, I mean I love Kim as a friend and all, but I think she's a terrible girlfriend." She couldn't believed she had just admitted that to him. "Uh, I'm going to get changed, I'll be back out in a few." She quickly unlocked her door and slammed it shut and locked it. She wondered why she had said such mean things about her in the first place.

Jett smiled, it was always nice to have someone else understand the frustration that could come with this job. "Yeah, there are a few others as well, but the aren't in the office as much. We all try to get together once a week for a drink, and you're more than welcome to come out with us." He chuckled and nodded his head when she asked where he was from. "Yes you would be right, I was born a few towns over, but I mean, I came into the city when I was fairly young and adapted to the language from here." He helped her put her things into the car. "Perfect, are you hungry or anything? I mean I can stop and get you food or coffee before we stop at the flat you'll be staying at."

About his relationship, because he felt it was really great at times but others really bad. They did fight and argue a lot but often for a good reason. Because Kim knew what Finn had done in the past, some stuff made Abbie did not know about. Finn could understand where Abbie was coming from too because Kim was overprotective but scared for this not to work. He looked at the door and was left standing there waiting, thinking about what was just said. Still, he felt that if you brought it up and not her it would make everything a bit uncomfortable.

"I would love to join! I don't know anyone here, so I need to try to get out." Kim was a bit afraid to be left out so her goal was to try to be as openminded and outgoing as possible. It was a whole new world to explore for her because she was not the one that traveled the most around in the world. She wished she has time and money to travel, but work kept her occupied. "Why did you move to the city?" She was already really excited to she the rest even thought they had just gotten out of the airport. "I would love to eat because right now I'm STARVING." She moved her hand over her stomach and smiled, "Also, coffee would also be lovely. Since I haven't woken up properly yet." She had been awake for hours, but she still felt a bit unenergized for some reason.

Abbie had no clue what had come over her, it wasn't like her to blurt out something like that. She really didn’t know Finn, and in her defense Kim hadn’t always been the best friend either. Once she was in her apartment, she slipped out of her workout clothes and into some jeans and a shirt. She quickly braided her hair and applied a bit of makeup, she wanted to look good for him, she wanted to impress him. Before she left, she grabbed her sunglasses and her purse and locked back up. He was still waiting there for her, you could tell that he was slightly confused as well. “Sorry if that took long.” She was planning on not bringing up what she had said earlier. She hoped that he would just forget about it. "Do you want to walk there?" She asked as the two of them headed back to the elevators. She felt that things were a little weird between the two of them now. "I'm really sorry, about all of that stuff I said. I was out of bounds, I just...Kim makes me mad sometimes. And I just think that she can't always get what she wants."

Jett knew how it felt to be new, and for a long time he didn't even have any friends. It wasn't until he had met the other interns that he started to go out and be more social with them. He nodded his head when she mentioned wanting to get some coffee and food. "I know this perfect little pastry place, they sell the best croissants in town. And they just so happen to serve up a mean cup of coffee." He chuckled and parked in a lot, they would have to walk a few blocks but he didn't want to pay for parking. "It's just a few blocks away, but I'm cheap and don't want to pay for the insane parking over there." He bit his lip when she asked why he had moved. "I was just from a smaller town, and there was no opportunities for me out there. So I packed up and left."
