Kenna
The kiss let her skin feeling tingly as she lifted her head up to look into his eyes. "Please. Jason, you haven't been to any of my proms. Ever. It's even a masquerade ball, so nobody will recognize you." Carefully she covered his hand with both of hers, warming them up a bit, concerning the growing cold of the night. "I'm even begging you. Can you disobey the begging of a future queen?", she said, a little smirk on her face. Kenna definitely wanted to spend more time with him, but her bodyguard Gabriel came running down the hill. "Miss Kenna! Your mother is looking for you! You have to get ready for the prom."
She rolled her eyes, slowly standing up. "Ugh, dresses, hairdos. Anyways, I'm expecting you tonight. I'll be wearing the gold gown, so that you can meet me." As he stood up, she had to stand on her tiptoes to give him a kiss on the cheek. She was right. It was complicated. Love. Was there even something like that for her? She knew she would marry some rude guy, just because her kingdom owed his one. Still, she wanted to persist. But was there even a point in that? Walking next to Gabriel, she thought of her father. Her mother always told her, that she was exactly like him, stubborn, determined. Why'd he have to go?
But her thoughts were cancelled when her mother looked at her, half angry, half worried. "How often do I have to tell you not to leave the walls?" "Mother..." She raised her hand. "Later. Now you have to get ready. Hurry up, our first guests are going to be here soon." And so, unwillingly she forced herself into the tight gown, let everything do with her. But all the time, she was hoping, Jason would come.
