Max rolled his eyes at her. "It's almost as if you want to be fired, cassia. And we both know you can't afford that so why don't we pretend you didn't just backchat me and try and get in with our day, huh?" He smiled, but it wasn't kind. His lips nearly turning in the corner, he watched as she walked to her seat, her hips swaying, her curls of hair bouncing as she went. Damn. Good lucks but no bran, it frustrated him endlessly. Sitting down in his seat, he places his hands down on his desk, gripping the edge. "I want you to know, right now, I'm not here to fuck about okay, I'm here to get my job done an you're here to make it slightly easier for me." He paused, looking at her for a moment, furrowing his brows. "My job is hard enough as it is, I don't particularly need you making it worse."
Darcy slipped from her ready made flask of coffee she had resting in her hands, at that particular moment it felt like it was burning off her fingertips but it was the last thing on her mind. May had never been in her interview, it had been one of his colleagues. No one had bothered to mention how damn attractive he was going to be! His hair slicked back stylishly into a quiff, his suit hung effortlessly over his sounder body and his stubble, maybe he woke up late that morning and didn't have time to shave it off. Darcy certainly wasn't complaining. She followed him through into the office without a word and dropped her bag to the seat next to her, staying stood so that she could look at the mount of work he had left her, the mundane repetitive task that was surely going to become the death of her. Beaming up at him, she swallowed a mouthful of coffee before nodding. "Yes sir. I'll get straight onto that." She plastered a cheesy grin into her lips and sat down at the desk.
