Charlotte, also goes by Lottie quite frequently, is one of the most powerful witches left after the majority of elders died trying to protect the humans from being overpowered. She serves the royal vampire family and is well trusted within their company. Yet she isn't fully satisfied with her place in the system, especially knowing that the vampires reign over them all. // Nathan is a true blood vampire, powerful and controlling. He is part of the family which came to power after the fall of the human governments. Currently lives where Buckingham Palace once stood, now there is an even bigger, more majestic mansion built to home his entire family and all loyal supporters. Behind his power hungry ego he has his one weakness, Aphroditi, his girlfriend who he turned prior to the revolution.

Micah pushed up from his bed and let out a small sigh, his eyes diverting out of the bay window, the decorations for the evening already had been set in place, the thousands of innocent beings being used for every ounce of their energy while he and his family and others sat there, as if nothing mattered. Pulling a white t shirt over his head, he rubbed the small bejewelled ring on his right hand ring finger, forcing his fingers a little, pulling his bedroom door open he slumped out, heading down the corridor and several flights of stairs, towards the kitchen area. Today was going to be a long day.

Slipping through the front door and dropping her hand bag on the floor, Aphrodite let out a long breath, closing her eyes for a moment and leaning her head back on the wall. This was getting worse and worse, was it really worth the risk any more? Of course it was. They deserved just as good of a life as her. Taking her shoes off and placing them in the hall, she entered into the large home, something which she would never get used to, or ever wanted to get used to. Her foot steps silent, she patterned into the kitchen, diving straight for the fridge.

Nathan had been up early, noting that yet again his girlfriend wasn't in their bed when he rose. After attending a long meeting with a bunch of familiars, which were half breed vampires that patrolled the streets and maintained order, he was ready for a rich O negative breakfast. He strolled the corridors, spotting Micah, "morning brother," he nodded his head, " you never made it to the meeting this morning, out on the prowl again?" he smirked, with a slight chuckle. "we still need to get you a date to the ball tonight, you simply cannot attend without a lady on your arm or it will look bad for us all. The community might think we hate you." he laughed again as they walked together towards the dinning hall which was also attached to the kitchen.

He added a little deviously, his hands sliding into the front pockets of his lounging bottoms, pattering into the dining hall. He looked around at the magnificent features that were slowly being transformed into decor for the evening do. "I could always ask Charlotte. The family dont despise of her and she's seen as part of the family now. It's better than nothing, even if she's not one of us." He suggested.

Nathan smirked at Micah's comment about observing, he had a lot of faith in his brother, even if they were completely different from each other. "I mean.. she is far from a true blood but I'm sure Father would not disapprove. She has done a lot for the family over the years." he nodded his head slightly, contemplating wether it was appropriate for a moment longer before chuckling to himself, "better hope she accepts your offer. You know what's she's like, very independent." he commented before continuing on into the kitchen. "ah, look at this Micah, we have entered a gossip zone." he laughed yet again, before wrapping his arm around Aphroditi and planting a kiss on her forehead and saying, in a much softer voice, "morning beautiful"

Micah grinned up at Nathan. "Ya better than nothing, I could drag some innocent victim off the streets but I think I'd be banned to the cellar for a lifetime." His cheeks turned alittle pink, if that were even possible, as they entered the kitchen, his eyes landing on Charlotte. She was unknown territory and something he decided itely shouldn't have even been co sidering but there was something inside him that he just couldn't help. Slipping past the couple of love birds, he nodded his head once at Charlotte. "They're biscuits in the tin. I refilled it yesterday for the cleaners but you're more than welcome to them." He whispered.

He struggled to understand how Aphroditi could cope with drinking the piss like substance, especially when she had free access to fresh blood whenever she wanted. "I've decided on a rather incredible velvet burgundy suit with gold embellishments with the family crest engraved on the buttons." One thing Nathan loved as much as power, it was his clothes and dressing to impress.

Aphroditi couldn't keep her eyes off him. Damn it how could one being be so enticing and inviting, yet so cold at the same time. Placing her cup on the countermeasures she turned in his hold so now their chests were pressed together and she lifted her hand to press against his arm, her smile growing. One thing was certain, he knew how to dress well, and he knew he knew. "Sounds Devine, darling. I was thinking an off the shoulder black velvet dress would work well this evening, nothing too promiscuous or attention grabbing." The last thing she wanted was to be spotted and spoken to by the humans that would be working. Being friendly with what was known as the enemy, she'd be shunned.

"that sounds absolutely breathtaking." he pressed a kiss to her lips softly, "I've had matching masks made for us, but I want to leave them a surprise until later if that's okay." he said again, his voice nearly angelic. This was a side of him that only Aphroditi got to see. "however we have important things that need done before the ball, so come." he said, taking her hand and leading her out of the kitchen space and into the main hall where the event would take place. "You always had a better eye for interior decorating than I did." he paused, gazing around the room which was decorated in black and gold, "what do you think is missing, beautiful?"

Aphroditi felt like a different woman around Nathan. Her posture changed, every move she made seemed to flow with ease and instead of a walk, it were as if she glided along air. His words wrapped spring her like silk sheets on a perfect evening and made her feel so welcomed and warm. It was a spell she fell into always. Her hand in his as she followed through to the main hall, her head tilting back to take in the entirety of the size of the room. It was ginormous, nothing she had ever dreamed of in her whole life. As a little girl, her stories were always made of magnificent castles. And now it was near enough a reality. "To me it looks perfect.." she began, taking in each detail. "They've been working so hard all week. We should thank them some how.." she suggested, a little quieter, not quite meeting his eyes.

Nathan held her hand in his the entire way along, their connection bringing him back down to earth during the time they spent together. "you know, Micah wants to invite Charlotte to the ball. I think he has had a thing for her for a while now." he chuckled slightly before listening to her thoughts on the decorations. A small frown crossed his lips, "perhaps. but not today. This is not their day Aphroditi." he turned to face her, running his hand across her cheek, "you are far too kind hearted for your own good. Perhaps it is because we have different pasts but one day you will understand that we must separate our celebrations from that of human traditions."
