Rudy was stood outside his house, playing keepy-uppy with a football; Bouncing it from one foot to the other and then up to his knee and his chest and back to his foot, keeping a silent count in his head. It was around 12 o'clock, mid day, and he was waiting for his best friend Leo to show up. Being on time was never one of Leo's things and Rudy had long gotten used to it.
He wasn't sure what they would be getting up to but, knowing Colin, it wouldn't be trouble-free. He was always the one getting him out of scraps, defending him to the ends of the earth, forever protecting him even if Leo didn't understand, nor appreciate it. Rudy was the relaxed one, the one that stood in the background with his arms crossed, never really getting involved and yet somehow always ending up in the middle of it.
Rudy accidentally kicked the ball too far, mid-thought, and he quietly sighed as he watched it roll away. He pulled out his phone to check the time and seeing no texts from Leo, he rolled his eyes and walked over to the football.

Sommy was sat in a small café in town, an open laptop on the table in front of her. She had decided to start early on the work given to them for the six weeks, get it all done now so there was less work for her later on. The work never really stopped because of her parents, forever pushing her to take more on. She'd already typed up a page worth of work and she paused for a breather, leaning back in the plush chair. She reached her hand out to pick up the coffee beside her, blowing on it quietly before taking a tentative sip. Her nose wrinkled before she placed it back down. Yep, still too hot. It made her realize how quickly she must have typed the work up and it made her feel pretty proud. Pleased with this minor triumph, she allowed herself a youtube break, pulling out a pair of earphones and attaching them to her laptop.

Riley was sat at the dining table, narrowly trying to engage in the conversation that was taking place. It wasn't as if anyone minded much. With her sister -the golden child- seated across from her, it was easy to look over Riley. With Amber's mousy blonde coloured hair and Riley's ice blond locks, they were completely different. Amber shined in everything related to schoolwork and yet Riley could barely answer what she had learned the previous week but could be able to tell you the next party. Grabbing her plate, she stood and went into the kitchen, tossing the plate into the trash. Surprisingly the loud bang as it hit the bottom of the bin was the only thing that had pulled her parents from their Amber-induced trance. Not giving them time to give her a bollocking, she left out of the kitchen and for the front door.

Colin zipped his pants up as he stepped out of the alleyway, a smirk forming on his lips as he watched the girl pull together her clothing along with her dignity. "Right so, see you in six weeks." Who knew that the head's daughter could be one of the best shags in his life? He wondered if he should walk the girl back, however he figured that he was already running late for something. Rudy came first before some random shag, he figured. Giving her a curt nod, he stuck his hands in his pockets before walking off to the direction of Rudy's house. While Colin wasn't a very reliable person, when it came to Rudy he felt the need to be. He was his only close mate and given Rudy's laid back nature he knew it wouldn't be long before Rudy had had enough and told him to fuck off. All of these thoughts seemed to leave his mind as he walked past a small coffee shop, and caught hold of a prize piece. Sommy. Her long legs and beautiful face were enough to put images of Rudy out of his mind. He knew who his next bedmate would be for the night. He smirked as he swung the door open.

i'm so confused is it colin or leo?!?!?
~

He scooped it up and twirled it between his two forefingers, his eyes glancing up one way of the street and then down the other. He couldn't see a single soul either way and small voice in his head was telling him that Colin had probably let him down again. He didn't really care much, he'd find something to do either way, it just bothered him that he'd told him he'd be there and allowed him to stand and wait. He dropped the football back on the floor and kicked it back up, so it was balancing on his foot. He was focused on keeping it balanced when a figure came into his view. Riley lived opposite his house, bar a few doors, and he had to admit it was pretty great that she did. Yes, she was a cool friend and it gave him someone to walk to school with every day, but it was also very easy to get laid, with her living opposite him. A quick text and ten minutes later they were in his shed at the bottom of the garden. He glanced up to meet her gaze and gave her a small smile, nodding his head, before raising his chin slightly.
"Where are you going?" He asked, before kicking the ball up into his outstretched palms.

Sommy had just placed the earphones into her ears, when she heard the bell above the door ring as Colin stepped inside. She didn't bother to acknowledge him, figuring he'd grab a drink and leave again. There was no use anyways. They were in the same year and yet in completely different social circles. While she worked hard in school, Colin rarely ever attended. And there was the obvious point being that Sommy was a virgin and Colin was one of the biggest sluts in school. Yep, there was definitely no use. She actually didn't think they'd ever even spoken a word to each other since their first day. She pursed her lips as she scrolled through her videos, to find one that could entertain her during her fifteen minute break.

We'll go with Colin since we started with him.
-
Riley had been mapping the town in her mind of places to go. Her parents hadn't even budged from their places in the dining room which left her believing that they were fine with her leaving. Her map slowly faded away when Rudy's voice interrupted her thoughts. "Nowhere in particular, just away from here. Amber's back from school and I've gone back to being invisible." She smiled widely as her fingers slowly pushed her hair from away from her eyes. She raised her eyebrows, noticing that he was playing with his football alone. Usually Colin was around making snide remarks towards her or smoking somewhere along the garden. "Where's your girlfriend?" She asked, outstretching her hands for him to toss her the ball. When she'd first met Colin and Rudy she had trouble understanding how they were mates. Best ones at that. Years after knowing them, the question had only intensified. He was everything that Colin was not. Maybe it was true that opposites attract.

Colin finally allowed his eyes to have a break from Sommy as he stepped up to the register and ordered his standard coffee with three sugars. He never understood how people could go for the overly made up drinks. It was a waste of both time and money. After waiting for his drink, he took the cup and walked over to Sommy, his plan mapping out in his mind. Truthfully he didn't have one. All he knew about Sommy was that she was a friend of his ex Riley and that she hardly came to any party that was given. But that didn't matter; whatever she lacked in social skills was easily made up by her body. He took a seat across from her, confidence flooding through him. Seeing as the earphones were in her ears, he decided to pretend that he was saying things but in actuality he was mouthing nonsense.

Rudy pursed his lips as she mentioned Amber, sympathizing with her a little. He figured it would suck to be living under someone's shadow like that. He allowed her to grumble, not really commenting since he didn't think it was his place, and then chucked her the ball through an under arm. He smirked a little at the question and rolled his eyes, raising his shoulders slightly. "I actually don't know. He was supposed to come here but he hasn't shown. Probably shagging a girl in a hedge somewhere." He watched her with the ball, wanting to take it back off her since he was now just stood, which felt odd. He slowly folded his arms and walked backwards to the low wall at the front of his house, leaning back against it. "He hasn't even text me or anything." He purposefully made it like a whine, like some mopey girlfriend pining after her beau. When she looked at him he smirked again and looked away, almost shy.

Sommy was still scrolling through the videos. She didn't want anything funny in case it made her laugh out loud in the café, and that would be embarrassing, but she didn't watch much else. Suddenly, someone was sat in front of her and it made her jump a little. When she looked up to see Riley, her eyebrows raised quickly. What was he doing? She narrowed her eyes as he mouthed words, pretending to speak since he thought she was listening to something. It made the corners of her lips curve upward, however. "I'm not listening to anything." She pulled out one and then the other, tilting the heads toward him to further the point since no sound could be head, before dropping them on the table. She shook her head a little and let out a small laugh at his reaction, before looking back to the screen. He'd had his fun and now she figured he'd move on to the next person.

Riley shook her head at the thought of Colin and some girl in a hedge. "That's ridiculous. If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure that you make a better shag than any girl out there." Tossing the ball back to him, she watched as it landed perfectly in his hands. She smiled as he took on his role of the girlfriend. "Well, if you want I think I know a way to fix the problem. Bras. Bras solve everything and I'm positive that they'd work well for you. Otherwise you're going to be a little saggy in the future." Her hands lifted to his chest, where she mushed around the area that would be prominent if he had man breast. Since everything was perfectly in place, she thought that it would make everything more believable if there were sound effects so she added in squishy sounds.

Colin smirked, the levels now rising after the corners of her lips began to turn. Phase one was complete, he'd managed to get a smile out of her. Leaning back into his chair, he took a sip of the coffee before looking at the textbooks that were either laid on the floor or messily on the table. "You know we have six weeks to complete this? Maybe we should leave these here and go and do something together." It was a joke of course but the look that she'd given him was the real reason his smirk eased into a smile. "If I leave you alone, will you come to a party later on with me? I'm sure parties have to be more appealing than writing about whatever the fuck Plato and Socrates spoke on." His head cocked towards her textbook.

Rudy nodded his head slowly and solemnly, raising his shoulders again. "You'd think so." He caught the ball as she tossed it back to him, letting it rest on his legs. He couldn't help but be amused at her attempt at advice, even if it was only a joke. Rudy raised an eyebrow as she took a hold of his chest, squeezing her hands gently, making incredibly inappropriate squishy sounds. "I could be pretty offended by this, but I'm gonna take it as a compliment since this is clearly an excuse to touch me." He threw the ball up from his legs to lightly hit off her arms, signalling for her to lay her hands off. He straightened up so he was stood over her, looking at her for a couple of seconds before breaking eye contact to look down the street. "Fancy helping me look for him? I've even got a few missing posters."

Sommy raised an eyebrow, her eyes following his to all the textbooks. She slowly nodded. "It's better to get a head start. That way when everyone else is flapping about doing it all, I'll be able to relax." She paused to answer the last part but he'd already caught sight of her expression, sort of like 'a 'you've-got-to-be-kidding-me' expression. She watched as his smirk eased slowly into a smile and it made her feel uneasy. In what way, she was unsure. "A party?" She looked back down at the books. She never really went to parties. They were just never her sort of place. She rarely drank, she'd never smoked, and she was hardly sociable. Her focus was on studies, not parties. She met his gaze again and her eyes slowly narrowed. "What's this about? Have you got a bet or something on, to take me out?"

Riley wouldn't admit that he actually was slightly correct. She enjoyed touching him, and that was one of the reasons why she felt it benefited her living next door to him. He was easy access. If she didn't have anyone else for the night than there was always Rudy and she couldn't say she was disappointed. She'd nearly missed what it was that he had said but had pulled herself out of it quick enough to catch it. Although it was clearly a joke, Riley shook her head as she thought about the town being filled with missing posters with Colin's face. But there was nothing else to do besides joining him in his search. "I was hoping we'd leave him lost for a little bit." She said before her eyebrows wiggled playfully. "Are you coming to the party tonight?" She asked as she kicked a rock, walking down the street beside him.

Colin nodded his head at her question, his eyes rolling quickly at the thought of it. "Yes, five hundred up front for a date. Seven hundred for a kiss." He shook his head, his hand lifting the coffee up to his lips for another sip. The liquid burnt the top part of his tongue, but he fought through it, enjoying the taste. "I just want to get to know you. I've only ever seen you with books, your laptop or Riley. It'd be nice to see you by yourself." He gave her a warm smile before grabbing the pen that was tucked away in the binding of her notebook. He quickly scribbled his name on the top page of her notebook along with his telephone number. "It'll be fun and if it's not then feel free to read a full textbook to me."

Rudy smirked and rolled his eyes, dropping the ball of the floor so he could kick it along. "Not gonna lie, it was my plan. But you know Colin. Leave him unsupervised for longer than an hour and the whole city could be burnt down." He thought about the party and his shoulders shrugged, his eyes staying on the ball as they walked and talked. "I guess so, there's not much else to do around here. Except you, that is." He glanced up at her, the smirk returning, before his eyes went back to the ball. "Why, are you?" It's all they ever seemed to do. Go to parties and get drunk, sleep with each other. The exception to Rudy was he never really slept with just anyone. It was always someone he was relatively close to. Randomers had never quite been his thing. They came into town quite quick, the cafe looming up ahead.

Sommy rolled her eyes. When he said it like that, the idea did seem ridiculous. But she seriously couldn't fathom what this was truly about. It had to be bullshit, the kid had hardly looked her way through out high school, so why now? She raised her eyebrow as he took a pen and scrolled his name and number across the top of her notebook, his handwriting scratchy and messy but incredibly endearing. She glanced slowly from the number to his eyes, her own eyes still narrowed and suspicious. Somehow she believed him, even though all sorts of alarm bells were ringing. She nodded her head and forced a small smile. "Sure, I guess... why not?" She shrugged her shoulders, glancing back down to the number. She was cursing herself at suddenly becoming very giddy.

Riley had to agree with him. It seemed as if every day was a repeat of the prior one and the mirror of the next. She supposed that was one of the reasons she couldn't wait to graduate. The quicker she left this town, the more things were in store for her. "Haven't decided yet. It's either that or I'll have to decide whether I want to watch Sommy finish her holiday reading or if I want to keep to my room for the remainder of the night." Riley watched the ball keep within its range as he kicked it along. She only remembered playing with him once and receiving a hell of a bruise, that marked the end of her football career. Once they'd reached the cafe, she opened the door for him, smirking at just how awkward it felt. However instead of Rudy walking in, Colin burst out.

Colin winked at her when she'd agreed to going with him to the party. A small part of him saw how things might play out. He couldn't imagine her being completely easy and he felt as if it would take a small amount of seasoning before she gave in. But he also did want to see how she was outside of the books. While he had fought with the majority of the males in their year, he thought it best to get acquainted with every one of the females. That way there'd be more shagging than he'd ever imagined. He smirked at the thought of multiples before barging through the door that was held opened by Riley. "Well well Riley, the milk is surely doing you good. They look amazing today." he remarked, nudging his head towards her breasts before turning to Rudy. He could feel her glaring at him and yet it only made him beam harder. "You're going to the party tonight. You'll be the distraction." He spoke, beginning to walk off as he expected him to follow after him.

you know, i wondered when the pregnancy bit was gonna come into it. i wasn't sure if she was pregnant or if she was going to be, or what :'(
so we can either say that colin knows somehow (bc he's a gossip bitch) and keeps making little remarks but rudy's far too relaxed to even care or everyone knows but no one knows who the daddy is bc rudy's assuming she slept with other people, or she could have told him it's not his?
~~

Rudy rolled his eyes at Colin's remark. Yes, he was his best friend but he was also one of the biggest douches in the neighbour hood. He glanced from Colin to Riley, as Colin began to walk off. He placed his hand on Riley's wait as he moved past her. "I'll catch you at the party later." The right corner of his mouth raised a little into a smile before he turned to go after him, scooping the ball off of the floor. He strolled after Colin, not particularly keen to catch him up, and upon reaching him, he raised the ball up and bounced it off his head, catching it when it did. "Where were you earlier, you prick?" As he glanced at him, he noticed the expression across his face and he rolled his eyes. Typical. "Right, who was she this time?" He wasn't expecting the head's daughter, since he'd been trying for a while with her and she was far too prissy for that sort of thing.

Sommy inhaled slowly and quietly as he winked and got up, to leave. She pursed her lips before slowly exhaling through her nose. Well, that was odd. Her brow furrowed a little as she looked down at the textbooks again, but her eyes somehow found their way to the number. She couldn't help but smile a little, before ripping it off and slipping it into her pocket. It wasn't something she wanted to leave lying around in a notebook. She looked up and out the window to see Colin walking off but suddenly Rudy was at his side and Riley was coming in. She raised her surprise and smiled brightly. "Riley!" She raised her hand to wave her over.

all of those are good ideas. i can't decide
i thought she was already pregnant. i think the bit with colin would play more into his character but then everyone knowing would probably make it more interesting when it comes to the rift.
-
Riley could usually shake off one of Colin's remarks before sending another his way, but this time it had slightly knocked her. As she walked into the cafe, she pulled her hair over her chest before looking for the direction in which her name was. She caught Sommy seated near one of the windows, various textbooks laid out in front of her. Leave it to Sommy to be the first one to finish off all of her holiday work while the others were scrambling to find whatever it was. Riley had yet to even look towards the direction of her bag, already knowing of its heaviness. She took a seat in the chair that had remained pushed out from Colin. As she looked at Sommy, her lips slowly curled into a smile as she marked just how bright she looked today. "I'm sure homework isn't that fun. What is it?"

Colin was far too busy planning, the cogs in his head turning quickly as they spoke. The head's daughter was yesterday's news and he had redirected his focus and attention elsewhere. But Rudy's question reminded him of just how amazing the shag had been, and a mischievous smile quickly spread across his lips. "It was the head's. Lovely girl and she probably had some of the best ones that I've ever seen. They weren't very large but they were sandbags. You think I should have asked for a picture?" Turning to face Rudy, he frowned at the sight of him kicking the soccer ball. He waited for him to kick it up to his head again before reaching out and quickly catching it before it could make its destination. "This is for boys, we are men. With packages and we live in a town where the ratio of women to men is pretty great number. So listen here's the plan, I need you to distract Riley tonight. For some strange reason girls like to travel in packs and if you distract her then I'll move in for Sommy."

i think we should go for colin knowing bc then it could also cause a rift between him and rudy and he's lost the one person that's always stood up for him, basically
~~

Sommy rolled her eyes at how quickly Riley had caught on to her mood. She wasn't sure if Riley was really good at it or if she was just that much of an open book. She slipped two fingers into her jeans, picking the piece of paper out with them and then held it out to her. She knew Colin and Riley had dated a while back but it hadn't been for long and neither had been arsed when they broke up, so she didn't really feel bad about showing her the number. Plus, it was just pretty exciting for Sommy. She rarely ever got asked about by someone 'cool' and for it to be Colin, who's standards weren't exactly low, it felt like an achievement. She shrugged her shoulders as Riley's eyes scanned across the page. "It was strange. I was sat on my own and he sat across from me and asked me to go to that party tonight." She was still awaiting the reaction, as her eyes dropped down to the laptop.

Rudy grimaced at him, although a small smirk found its way to his lips. He really was disgusting. However, a picture of a nice pair wouldn't have gone a miss though. "Yeah, definitely. Give you something new to wank over." He was still walking and kicking the ball, kicking it up in the air and catching it now and then. When Colin caught sight of him kicking it up to his head, his hand reached out to catch it. Rudy looked at him and raised an eyebrow expectantly, before Colin stated the plan. He couldn't help but roll his eyes at him calling him a boy for kicking a ball. Colin seemed to forget how old they were when it came to getting girls. He nodded at the end of it and shrugged his shoulders. "Sure, whatever." He never really paid attention to the plans but this name stuck out. "Wait, Sommy? Riley's friend Sommy? Sommy who never gets her head out of a book, that Sommy?" He raised his eyebrows and then smirked widely, slowly nodding his head. "Right. Good luck."
