PLOTS:

Your parents always tried to mix you with the best people possible, and that worked, until your third year of secondary school. Your parents were fairly well off, you lived in a nice enough house, and you were rarely short of money, but your mum and dad never seemed to notice you, they were always working or going out together. So your money never stopped you from making the worst kind of 'friends'. They were fine at first, but then, as you all got a little bit older, they began smoking, drinking, doing things you didn't even want to think about at that age, but of course, you wanted to fit in. You were in an abusive friendship, fueled by peer pressure. By the time you were sixteen, you had gotten in trouble with the police more times than you could count on your hands. It was pretty tough, you never even wanted it to happen. Then, one day, at a party, your friends abandoned you, you had no way of getting home. So you end up sitting outside, crying, you're completely hammered, you have no money, no coat and no way of getting home. So when some man stops his car on the road next to you and asks if you need a lift, you don't reject the offer. However, he drops you home, and spends about an hour talking to you outside your house as you waited for your parents to get home from some fancy meal. The next morning you wake up with a vague recollection of him, and a number on your hand.

----

Your family put you up for adoption when you were seven, leaving you with nothing more than the clothes you were wearing and a name, and memories. So many memories. Everyone always told you that as you get older, the thoughts would go away, they told you that you would forget everything, but you didn't. People tried to foster you, but you were never what they were looking for, you were always too quiet or too loud, too pathetic or too willing, too difficult or too easy. Then you just got too old and everyone overlooked you. Nobody wanted to adopt a sixteen year old who still got nightmares about her parents nine years down the line. You got by alone, you always had done. But one day, you went into a cafe on a slow day and ended up chatting to one of the waiters for nearly an hour, he was interesting and different, he seemed to care about you, and had no problem listening to your stories until the next costumer came in. he was a bit older than you, but you went back to the cafe quite often, and that was when you realised that you didn't want to go it alone anymore.

----

Camden was at his best friend's friend's party, knowing that his parents were off on a vacation and that their street and group of friends needed a little livening up. He was into the party scene much but his best friend had dragged him, telling him to get some fresh air and actually talk to some people for once. Whatever, he replied to what Luca had said to him. It wasn't his fault that he wasn't a people person or that he didn't particularly like using questionable substances or downing alcohol straight from the can or grinding his junk against a girl he didn't know at all to shitty music. However, Luca was not having it so here Camden was, sitting on the stairs of somebody's house, watching as the seconds went by on his watch. Luca was elsewhere, probably in the living room or pool being drunk as hell. Well, he did need a ride home, so that's why Camden was still there. No one had noticed that he was alone; they were too out of their senses to realise, to arrogant to care.

Katara was still at the care home, locked inside her bedroom as she started to flick paint against her lifeless, white walls. They were like a blank canvas, and seeing as she thoroughly believed she was staying here forever she thought she could make this room her own. Nina, one of the social workers here, had cheerily encouraged it, and although Katara knew that she had meant well, Kat just thought she was thinking the same. That she would stay here forever. That no one will adopt her.

Once she finally gotten bored of watching paint dry, she decided to go out and head down to the shops. Maybe hanging with people she didn't know would comfort her in some way. She'd finally fit in and no one could ever tell her she didn't belong there.

Pulling on her coat, she stormed outside the care home without telling anyone, a normal routine for Kat. She made sure she had take. Her side bag, which had her phone and wallet, and some other things she had been meaning to take out. A few minutes had made her wonder which shop she would go inside first, so she went into the music store and looked at all the new albums she couldn't have. Whilst she had bought her wallet with her, she had no money. When the kind assistant lady had asked if she needed any help, Kat just kindly turned her offer away and instead walked out of the shop and turned to the multiple clothes shops to do the same, although she did try on a few things. Afterwards, she was exhausted and just wanted to go into the local cafe and plug in her headphones and listen to some music on her phone. As she walked in, she had accidentally bumped into someone and put both hands to cover her mouth. "I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed, feeling her cheeks burn pink. Maybe this was why nobody wants to adopt you, a voice whispered into her mind. But she ignored it, kneeling down to the person, trying to help but not knowing what to do.

Amelia walked out of the house, stumbling down the stairs and walking down the front lawn. She plonked herself down on it and sighed, dragging her hands through her hair and resting her legs. She had been at that party for god knows how long, drinking god knows how much and taking or smoking god knows what. She hadn't even wanted to be there. Screw that, she didn't even want to be around the people she hung around with before she started hanging around with them. She couldn't think straight.

Chris hadn't exactly been looking where he was going. He may or may not have been extremely hung over from the night before. His best friend invited a few mates round for his birthday, and he didn't mean to, but he got absolutely hammered. He was trying to carry a plate of carrot cake to one of the tables outside the cafe that he worked in, when he zoned out for a second and collided with someone. They both ended up falling over, but he saved the cake, if not his dignity. "No, no it's fine, seriously." he said, getting up. "I should have been looking where I was going." he said, looking at the girl. She was pretty, she looked young, not really young, but about sixteen to eighteen. "I'll be with you in a second." he said, a little bit of him hoping that another waiter wouldn't jump to her.

Camden felt people starting to climb the stairs more and more and he got sick of the smell they emitted, so he walked out into the huge garden and had sat down at one of the chairs. For a few minutes, he had just studied the sky and the stars that popping into view when he realised that it was getting late. He decided it was time to find Luca and to bring him back home but he couldn't find him out here on the lawn. In fact, no one was here except for some girl. Honestly, he didn't know where to look for him and hoped she would know his whereabouts. Walking over to her, he crouched down at her height and tried for a smile, but he was still shy. "H-hi, um...do...do you happen to know where my friend is? Luca?" She seemed out of it but it was worth a shot anyways. He couldn't really see her properly in the dark but hoped she had acknowledged his presence.

"I should have been too..." Katara protested, getting herself up and brushing her palms against her ripped jeans. She looked up at the guy and chuckled a little as she noticed the cake, raising an eyebrow. "Looks like the cake is okay...and you?" As her vision had completely focused, she noticed that he seemed to be a little older than she was. Kat couldn't help but notice his good looks and blushed, shoving her hands in her pockets and looking away. Great, she thought, I also know how to make a fool out of myself in front of guys too. Kill me now. When he offered to serve her after the first customer, she wanted to protest she had no money but he was gone. She then decided to sit outside, under the shade, wondering if he'd really come back. No one came back to her...they always found someone better and moved on.

Amelia jumped slightly when he spoke to her. She didn't think that anyone was outside other than her, this made her panic inwardly. "U-um sorry, no, I-i don't know many of the people in there. It was really dark and cramped and horrible so I tried to get out as fast as I could." she rambled. Holding onto her kneecaps in the cold. Her body shook, she'd left her coat inside, but she didn't want to go back in there.

Chris grinned slightly, looking at the cake, then at his legs. "Hmm, I think I lost a leg. Oh well, it'll grow back." he joked. He grinned even more when he noticed her staring at him, then looking away again and blushing. Did that make it acceptable for him to look at her? He wasn't sure, so he went outside to give the cake to the elderly woman sitting in the shade. He smiled at her through the window and walked back inside to serve her. "Hi." he said. "Let's just pretend that we didn't just knock each other over. How can I help you?" he asked, smiling.

Camden was disappointed when she revealed that she didn't know where his best friend was but started chuckling at her rambles, nodding his head because he understood what she had meant. He decided she wouldn't be bad company, so he sat down next to her and pulled out his phone, texting Luca. Surprisingly, he texted back, but instead of telling him where he was he only started to spam his phone with random messages. Camden rolled his eyes and turned his attention to the girl next to him. From the light from his phone he saw that she was very pretty, with her chocolate hair and light eyes, but she seemed troubled and cold. "Here," He said gently. He took off his leather jacket and wrapped it around her, giving her a warm smile. "Looks like you need it more than me...I'm Camden." // Katara started giggling at his joke, blushing because no one had really heard her laugh like that. She found it hard to find reasons to smile, let alone laugh, due to the constant nightmares and memories she carried on her shoulders. Everyone thought she must've been mental. Once, she was checked for Schizophrenia but the results came back negative. The docot knew it was just trauma from childhood and wanted to check if she had PTSD instead, but Kat refused and ran out the hospital. She didn't know why she had done that: she just didn't like the idea that everyone seemed to think there was something wrong with her. Her grey eyes shifted up and she saw the waiter stand in front of her. Once again, he made her laugh and she even tried for a joke. "How could you? You lost your leg, remember? Or has your memory vanished too?" She smiled down to herself and then sighed at his offer. "I'm fine, thank you. I don't have any money anyways..."

Amelia smiled at him slightly, wrapping his jacket around her shoulders more. "Thanks," she said, she felt warmer now. "I'm Amelia. It's nice to meet you." she said to him, praying that he wouldn't notice how different her accent was to everyone else's. People made fun of her because of it. They said she was some relative of the royal family, she thought it would die down, but it never did.

Chris chuckled. "Oh damn, I'm getting like my grandma!" he said, grinning at her. He shrugged. "Well, I could buy you something if you want anything, that is?" he asked her, shrugging his shoulders. He looked at the notepad he was holding and began doodling it in. He really loved art and he had always wanted to do something to do with it, but in stead he had gotten lumbered working in a cafe.

Camden's smile grew more and more as she spoke, as she slowly moved and snuggled into his jacket, relaxing a little more than when she had first talked to him. He wasn't like all the other drunken or high teenagers inside, far from what his best friend was like. Camden was more on the quiet side, the one who preferred to read or watch tv shows and movies or study rather than go out and party and do things he would later regret. What surprised him too was that she seemed different to everyone else, especially her accent which he thought was refreshing. She seemed to not like what was going on inside too. "It's nice to meet you too, Amelia." He whispered, looking back at the house and raised an eyebrow at her, laughing a little. "So what's a girl like you doing here?" // Katara started giggling again, covering her mouth to stop but she couldn't help it. He seemed like an easy going guy, someone who everyone liked because it was so easy for him to crack a joke and to be this kind to everyone. That was something she wished she had because honestly? She didn't have many friends. In fact, she only had one best friend and she was currently being fostered. When offered her buy something, she shook her head slightly. "No....that's sweet of you but I wouldn't want you to waste your money on me." She said softly, then noticed him drawing inside his notebook. Kat couldn't see what it was but he seemed really into it. She smirked. "You having fun there, grandma?"

Amelia blushed slightly, hoping he wouldn't be able to see in the dim lighting. "Oh, you see, I got kidnapped and taken away from my beloved 'posh' roots by some people, they dragged me here and pressured me into getting drunk and high. But don't worry, it happens so often that I've pretty much become immune to it." she said in a jokey posh accent which wasn't too far from her own. "What about you? You look like someone who would be more comfortable at home on the sofa watching some movie with some girl, or guy, I dunno what you're into, and a cat snuggled up to his feet."

Chris smiled at her when she couldn't stop laughing. She was refreshing to be around, unlike all of the other sulky teenagers he met. He absentmindedly began to sketch her, but then stopped, just in case she saw. He looked up, slightly confused. "Sorry!" he laughed. "Seriously, it'll be fine, five quid won't be much off my salary."
