No, I really have no idea. I kind of envy those people who know what they are going to work with when they are like 10 years old, and then actually accomplish that. In the mean time, I'm just here like ??? What to do with my life? I'm not worried about it though, eventually I'll probably figure something out. Otherwise I can always just continue studying. I think I'm going to get a master's degree, and if I still want to study after that, I could try getting a PhD.
Oh, that combination of subjects sounds fun. Is being a teacher popular in Norway? In Sweden no one wants to be teachers, it's mostly people who either have bad grades or don't know what else to do who study to become teachers. According to statistics we'll be missing 65000 teachers in 2025, which is crazy.
You have no idea how much I procrastinate. It's almost a wonder that I always manage to hand things in on time. Yesterday I handed in my home exam two minutes before deadline. XD
Yes i did that too. I had a big problem with finding out what i wanted to do. But i found out that iām good at working with kids and that iām like a very Ā«safe personĀ» so i just decided to be a theacher.
do you know if you can get work in sweden with a degree in gender studies?
oh yes, sounds like you have some options then.
i hate norwegian tho, but i have to teach it bc itās just how it is. Rules you know. Umm we had a problem with that as well, but i think itās better now. Both i and a lot of people in my class had good grades from high school. We habd a problem that most people want to study it in oslo or bergen i think, but not smaller places. Ā (Idk if what iām writing makes sense iām om my phone atm) but itās like a huge drop out rate bc itās harder than people think and itās not like they imagine.
Ahahah damn! same tho. I always write my assignments the same day as the deadline. I wrote a 6000 word assignment in 5-6 hours some weeks ago. And i had SO MUCH TIME to do it the rest of the week, but i just didnāt.
Sounds like being a teacher is the perfect job for you then!
I don't know, I haven't really looked into that yet. I only decided on getting a degree in gender studies recently, so that's why. I won't be getting my bachelor's degree until sometime next year (I think), so I have plenty of time to check things out before that.
Is it bokmƄl or nynorsk? What kind do you learn in school? Oh, yeah, there was a report here about high drop out rates, the reason being that the people studying to become teachers mostly have bad grades, which means they aren't really able to follow the education very well.
6000 words in 6 hours, wow! That's what I call being effective. I don't think I'd be able to do that. I wrote my 2800 word essay/home exam during a couple of hours yesterday and Sunday. I give you an A+ for procrastination skills!
Haha yes i hope so. I was out in Ā«praksisĀ» idk the english word for it and it was so much fun, we was like Ā«real teachersĀ» for a month.
