Happens with mine too, but I buy the cheapest brand to save money. Still very good, and filling
I've never made fish sticks myself, but now with lots of time on my hands i'm all in trying to make them myself.

i think homemade fish sticks won't be as good as the ones i'm used to eating but i could also be very wrong ofc
