I really think the phone needs to be removed from the equation. First off, the site sure seems to love putting an emphasis on how many children are on the site, only to turn around and give out a smartphone (something many parents don't want their children having until they're 16, let alone given to them from a stranger).
This becomes even more shady when you consider that Kaj/Kim has to have the child's address to send them their prize (I know they most likely have the best intentions, but it's something that would definitely concern me as a parent). Not only that, many phone plans charge extra to add a new phone to the line (especially a smartphone), which would wind up actually costing the winner money.
Replace it with a gift card (you can just PM the winner the code on the card), replace it with credits, whatever. I just really, really think giving away a phone (and such an expensive one at that) on a site that you claim to have oriented towards children is a bad idea.
