I don't think it should be restricted by age necessarily, but instead have it so the active threads don't show up on the front page since that's the concern Kaj has about it.
hmm that's another good point too. 
though it'd be a little annoying to have to keep checking the section for new posts/forums. 

but if it was restricted by age, or even a box like "do you want to see the MSC section? WARNING ------" like on your profile settings, then it could work like record labels and team forums that don't show up to everyone who is too young or hasn't said yes to the section?
