piggybacking off of this to say that this is part of the stagnation of the vp economy

those of us who have been here for a while, even if you didn't invest any irl money into credit set weeks, have amassed wardrobes of rarer sets that can be sold for lots of cr

right now there isn't really a cr 'sink' so to speak, except for the weekly rare raffles (AMAZING IDEA BTW). so having a feature that people who do have a lot of cr could invest into would be cool. i can definitely imagine a scenario where a 'pet' feature has cr-only options that aren't giving too much of an advantage

i do think making low ig items available again is kind of a requirement at this point? but imo a good start is to purge accounts that haven't logged in in ~10 years and making the items that were in those account available in some sort of 'donation shop' or something similar

i do think if old + low ig sets/items were rereleased, they would have to be very $$$ in cr. hell, you could make them purchasable with ONLY irl money as a way to fundraise

part of this is because they have a fundraising goal each month for the funds required for maintaining the servers, paying people (well... not really but anyways), etc. and there is a reward for contributing X amount to the fundraiser each month

using this system, despite having a smaller userbase than most petsim sites, they ALWAYS meet their fundraising goal and often go beyond it.

i think a system like this with a set that is rewarded for contributing would go a long way to make sure that the en server remains up and running!
