tbh i dont really know why i keep logging in on vp, i ask myself the question "what do i even do on this site"Â
i like the dress up aspect, but personally that is not something you do all the time. the games are alright, the forums are nice but not pushed enough. fans are a completely abandoned concept, it's like what does vp even want to be?
i can only use gsm to compare, i feel like it is not very different from vp in terms of mechanics and what you can do, it just pushes them a bit more. way more clothing, bigger seasonal events like summer tour. on vp most if not all events are from our lovely volunteers which is amazing, but vp doesnt really help them.. they go under so easily.Â
nowadays, platforms push mobile a lot bcs that is essentially where most of the online community reside in. vp is not necessarily mobile friendly, so immediately turns away a decent chunk of potential users. idk what es/etc do to remain successful
Agreed
I do want to point out from what various people including myself have said that events have gotten a little better. I guess for the "drought" people talking about, I started like before that, most of my time was during that, and it's getting better now. Individuals are doing so much to try and make events and I want to appreciate them so much. But, as you said, it's just that. Individuals.
It's like the site itself is just kinda... here? y'know?
Also, the mobile version, in my opinion, is horrific. I never go on a mobile device unless i absolutely have to because it is actually the worst mobile friendliness i have ever seen (tbf i do most stuff on my laptop>mobile so i haven't seen as much as others to compare probably). Like, if I didn't have a computer and could only play on a mobile device, i would probably just quit vp it's so bad (and i don't let things go easy). So even if no app, pls do
something (easier said than done i know, no hate on anyone)
real we need a clear goal!! purpose!! mission!! it's difficult to create meaningful change without having a clear picture we're trying to achieve (and more active work from staff that isn't just background work)
