only making this a public thread so that designers can see it + other users can say if they would be okay with this feature or not

as most people know, designers don't get paid on the site at all for their hard work, which is (in my opinion) unfair. i figured that since they aren't getting paid, they should at least be able to have a tip jar (a link to a donation page like paypal or the 'buy me a coffee' button that most sites use) so that if people wish to give them a small bit of money as thanks, they would be able to

obviously it'd have to be made clear that the tip jar is NOT for commissions (since that would dip into offsite trading territory), but it'd be nice to offer at least something for the designers since they bust their asses carrying the site.

*edit* another thing that keeps getting brought up is tipping for cr, but technically that's already ig (money trade system) so if you want to tip artists/designers some cr for their designs then go for it!! just make sure to add a message to clarify why you're sending it

kim and kaj are both open about the fact that designers are volunteers, it'd be like saying gaia could get in trouble for not paying their mods

they don't legally have to pay them, but considering that most sites do pay their designers (ex. gaia paying their regular artists) it would be appreciated

kim and kaj are both open about the fact that designers are volunteers, it'd be like saying gaia could get in trouble for not paying their mods

But kim and kaj also pay some designers, which leaves me wondering why they dont pay them all . . .
