I got a bit of this theory from Channelfrederator. After Mugucket left ford’s testing, ford begain to look for more people to help him. Eventually he got two people an a adult version of Gideon and another person. Gideon has two children and his"parents" are actual his kids.Gideon was a very abusive and strict father and that’s why his kids are afraid of him.when they ford and his helpers where working on the portal Gideon, went into the portal and on accident he got turned into a baby and it stayed that way for a while until he started to age he began to hate the pines family a lot. That’s why he wants the books he wants to go back into the portal and find the thing that turned him into a child to turn him back into a adult. Sorry if my grammar or spelling is bad.
