MY GUIDE TO ESCAPING FROM AN ISLAND:

I open my eyes and see the sparkling blue ocean, the vast calm sky and clear white sands. Following a plane crash I am trapped on this beach,
on this island, in the middle of nowhere, all alone!

How do I get out of here?

This guide will tell you everything I do to survive on an island and get out of it, keep reading:

1. Firstly, I look around. Where’s my bag? My phone? Are there any other survivors from the plane crash? Any people on the island?
I can’t find my bag or phone and neither do I see any people around, no
survivors and no people living on the island. I figure I’m probably
going to be here for quite long so what next?

2. I need to look for food. Some plants maybe, or fruits if I’m lucky enough.
After a long time of walking and searching around the island I find some
berries which I’m hoping are not poisonous, they don’t look like that at
least. I also find some coconuts fallen from a tree but what am I to do
with coconuts, I don’t know how to use them!
I dig a few holes near the ocean to trap fish when the tide goes down as I read in a book back
at home. Fish and berries, sounds like a good meal!

3. Next I go and collect wood so I can make a fire before the sun goes down and I freeze to death.
I’ll need the fire to cook the fish I’ve trapped too, there’s no way I’m
eating raw fish, not even when I’m stranded on this island I
desperately want to get out of.

After collecting the wood I build three fires in the shape of a triangle. This is recognized as a distress signal, I found out from that book I’m
so glad I read. I hope someone gets this signal and I’m rescued soon.

I check on the holes I had dug and what do I see? I’ve trapped one large
fish and two medium sized ones, and they’ve dried beautifully in the
sun. I keep the fish over the fire I built to cook and while my meal is
cooking I make a small hut like shelter from the remaining wood I had collected, I can’t sleep out in the open in the freezing night!

4. After my meal of fish and berries (which I must say was quite
delicious), and fresh water from a lake I had seen when I was looking
for food, I really want to take a nap but I can’t do that if I want to
escape the island before the night. I write SOS in large letters on the sand hoping a rescue team will see that from their plane above. I remember
reading about how stranded people leave messages asking for help in
bottles in the sea but I don’t have any paper and pen, and neither do I
have a bottle.

5. Now that I’ve left signals asking for help I decide to just wait for a while hoping that I will be rescued soon. I’m
starting to get bored and frustrated now so I start building sandcastles to calm down and keep myself busy. I get so busy with the sandcastles that I forget
about my surroundings and then suddenly I notice a ship in the sea,
coming towards me.
They’ve seen me and they’re coming to get me out of here!

It turns out that the rescue team indeed saw my signals for help from
their plane and sent the ship to get me out of the island. I’m now on my
way home, and that is how I escaped the island I was stranded on.

The simple guide how to leave a stranded island

We all happen to get stuck on an island now and then, am I right? And have you ever thought “Oh I wish I had a guide now of how I could leave the island”, well today is your lucky day! This amazing guide only cost 999 dollars and if you are the first person to get it you will also get a rubber duck, a deal too good to be true!

Here is our step to step guide about how you leave a stranded island! OBS remember that this might not work for you and if it doesn’t you won’t get your money back! Enjoy!

1.Found the nearest coconut tree and make sure it has plenty of coconuts for you, you will probably need one coconut per day so make sure you have picked the good island with many coconuts before you decide to get stranded.

2.Make sure the island have a boat on it and a nice hut close to the strand, if your island doesn't have this then you screwed.

3.Bring a chef with you who can make good food because you will get bored of coconuts after a while.

4.Make sure the chef is muscularly so he can row the boat back to society.

5.Bring chocolate as well because it’s yummy and you will probably need it.

6.Enjoy your trip <3

A guide to escape from an stranded island

1. Panic a bit and check if your phone has signal, then cry a bit if it doesn't have because it's likely that you'll spend more than one day on that island, which means all your snapchat streaks will fail.

2. Collect supplies from around you that might become useful later: things that'll help you create a shelter for night and rain, possible bottles and kettles for collecting rainwater, even some clothes if there is some since you're a sassy millennial and won't accept to wear the same outfit for a two days in a row.

3. From bottles we get to the fact that it's really important to drink, not that bottle of Chardonnay you managed to save from the plane but water. Therefore you need to try to find drinkable water, not seawater, but like some little bourn/stream of water.

4. After this you should start building some shelter for yourself. Use long branches, maybe some big leaves if you find, to make your shelter more waterproof since your iphone isn't and you managed to save it with the waterproof lil bag for it but you already lost it.

5. Fire, you need that fire and since your super lit outfit and makeup have been ruined by the plane crash and water, you better try to make fire with your own hands, and no honey you don't have lighter or anything. You'll need a stick, a rock and some dry material (grass or something) and start rubbing that stick to the rock. This might take a while but you really need that fire to boil the water to kill the bacteria and to cook some food, you don't want to eat fresh fish.

6. After the essentials you should make a big rescue sign (SOS), probably on the sand if the island has sand, or using branches or burning so there comes a lot of smoke.

7. While waiting for your knights with shiny armors try keeping yourself busy. That shouldn't be a problem though since fishing and hunting probably take half a day, because you know it's not that easy and quick as buying that salmon from the supermarket.

Return from Alcatraz (sticky situation)

This is a story from when I was on Alcatraz. I was with my sister, without my mother, because she didn’t like being a tourist, like we did. We had a nice time, everything was interesting – everything from the prison to the nature and even the people who lived there was interesting people. That is, until we were left alone on the island and the silence was killing me.
The tourist boat had left. I already knew that, but the only thing I could think about was how to get my sister back to San Francisco – I didn’t care about myself. My sister was my responsibility, I was the grown up, and this wasn’t supposed to happen. We were supposed to miss the tourist boat, for god’s sake!
I calmed myself down, deciding not to swear over myself and not to lose my calm. My sister was already freaking out, scared and cold. It didn’t help if I was losing it too, I knew that, and that’s why I wouldn’t let it happen.
I assured my sister that we were not going to die over night, and I was completely sure that we would be back in San Francisco by midnight – I almost believed it myself, it was so believable. But I had to be back, the landscape wasn’t as fascinating anymore and the prison creeped me out by the time it was dark outside.
We searched the island for any human presence –we knocked on ever single door, desperate to find someone who was able to help, but without any luck. By the time we had searched for two hours, I was losing hope, and my sister was too, I could see it on her, and the only thing I could think about doing was hugging her, saying soothing words and hoping it would help.
Just then, a man walked up to us – he must have heard us yelling and I would be surprised if he hadn’t, because we were pretty loud out there. I rapidly explained our situation, talking fast, and when I was finished speaking he looked as though he didn’t understand a thing I just said.
Utterly defeated, I sat down, but decided to, now more calmly, explain the situation. He seemed to understand.
He asked if we had done some things – like contacting the tourist office, but I explained that we didn’t have any service and we had tried that at least ten times.
I felt so bad. My mother left my sister in my hands for this trip to the island, she trusted me with this, to keep my sister safe and sound. That was a complete mistake, and if she had just stayed in San Francisco with my mother, she wouldn’t be so scared at that time.
The old man suddenly lit up and gave me a huge smile. He said that he actually had a boat and were going to San Francisco anyway, because he usually worked at night. I was so happy! But of course I wouldn’t want to be any trouble to the kind man, so I asked him, partly because of disbelief, if he was sure. And he was!
The next thing we knew; we were on a boat back to San Francisco. After this many years, we can laugh at the story, and I am sure we can do that for many years to come.

At the mercy of waves

I
How did I get myself into this situation?
Half naked girls and boys partying on a boat.
Why does my sister need to drag me into these stupid parties just to find a guy for myself..
I don't hate my sister but she needs to stop. I have been reading book inside the boat next to this tiny window.
At some points drunk people comes inside to continue their night but after noticing me they change the room.
I raise my eyes on the lines of my book, these words which gives me comfort. The sun has gone down and it's time to ask my sister to drive home. While I got myself up from the table, the boat swayed so strongly from waves it threw me against the wall. I hit my head so hard that I fell down on the floor. I grabbed the desk next to me and pulled my body up and started slowly walking towards the door to the deck
II
The moment i stepped out on the desk, my hair started rabidly dancing with the strong wind. I didn't see anyone on the slippery deck..  The sky was dark as the deepest part of the ocean even thought the party lights made the wet deck floor shimmer beautifully. I came to notice that I lost  my hearing for a moment from hitting my head. I finally started recognize voices through that whistling wind in my ears... they were screams. I looked over my right shoulder to see a guy falling over from the boat and screaming.. the screams.. they were terrifying. I screamed and started panicking because I just saw a man flying over to his death. For a while i just.. gasped for air and tried to calm down. Wait a moment.. Sister??  Wheres Amelie! Then I noticed I didn't see my sister anywhere so I ran on the top deck. The stairs up were so.. so slippery it was really hard to go up. My foot slipped many times but I didn't loosen my crib from the stair pole. My hands were so cold and my breathing was steamy but I finally got myself to the top deck. My sister were hiding next to the driver seat. I ran to her and grabbed her shoulders and hugged her tight. Her hands was covered in blood from hitting her temple against something hard. I held Amelie's arm with tight crib while trying to get both of us up on our shaking legs. We slowly moved to the stairs and I helped her to get down. It was really hard not to fall on the slippery stairs.
III
Another strong wave tried to throw the boat upside down just when we got to the mid deck. I had just and just enough time to grab from the handle of the door so i wouldn't be thrown again like a rag doll while holding on from my sisters arm. The door handle were slippery and my crib couldn't hold any longer. I couldn't hold any longer.. Me and my sister were sliding on the slippery floor along other furniture which weren't attached to anything. The waves were so aggressive... No mercy was given on this freezing stormy night.

IV
It hurts everywhere. My whole body is sore and screaming from pain. I open my eyes slowly because i haven't gotten used to the shining sun light. The sun has already risen somewhat high.. Amelie.. The boat..   I raise my head from the soft and warm sand and start watching towards the ocean. It's so empty.. so lonely and quiet. The peaceful waves which were beating our boat apart last night and gave us no mercy.. I turned my head away from the water and tried to get up on my feet, terrifying pain went through my leg like a strike of a lightning which caused my scream echo on top of the water. I swift the weight from my other leg to another carefully, just so see am I able to walk on it. My chest feels so tight from fear. It feels like cement has been poured down my throat and now it's starting to harden.
I see parts of the boat laying all over the beach. I still haven't paid any attention to the forest next to me. I stopped walking for a while and just stared in to the darkness...  the sun isn't high enough to show any light there. Suddenly I came to hear someone yelling for help. I started walking towards the voice as fast as I could while trying to bear the pain.It was someone of my sisters friends, a guy whose name I didn't even know. When I got closer to him I noticed an bone sticking out of his arm, it made me hold my mouth with my hand to stop myself from puking. The sight was disgusting, the wound was surrounded by tiny bugs and... I don't even want to describe it. I got hold of myself and went to next to him, helped him to a better position which wasn't really pleasant for him. He was biting his other hand to hold his screams. I watched his arm and then raised my look into his blue and veiny red eyes, dry from the salt water.  I had no clue what to say to him.. Will the help come? Will anyone find us and come save us? Or will we just.. die here on an island where's no hope of surviving? No. I won't die here.. at least not until I have found my sister.
I ripped piece of fabric from my sleeve and tied it around his arm. I warned him that this might hurt.. a lot. I pushed his bone back under his flesh. He screamed so loud and it was so bloodcurling that it made my skin shiver from fear. After I got rest of the fabric around his arm and helped him up, telling him that we cant be the only ones here. We walked forward the beach on this rock where we could see our boat laying peacefully on the shallow waters. It was only half of the boat, other half of it were in pieces all over the beach and water. We kept walking towards the boat to find anyone from there. Finally when we came there I started calling my sisters name, my voice was rough from the thirst so i cleared my voice and tried to call her again. She wasn't here, well at least not answering. I went closer to check the boat, there was someone laying half on the water. It was my sisters best friend Sarah, I ran to her with the pain on my leg and called her name over and over again until i reached her. Her skin was white as snow... her lips purple as the evening night sky, no life in her eyes. I realized she was dead, i fell down and started crawling away from her. The guy came to me and asked if she was dead, he started panicking but helped me up. Saying things will be okay over and over.. and over again. We won't survive, we won't.. We will stay here forever and die. Tears started slowly dropping on my cheeks like pearls, I felt so fragile and so lost. He helped me to sit down on a tree trunk and told me hes going back to the boat to see if there is any food and supplies. After 15 minutes he came back with two backpacks. He gave me the other one, I took it and opened it. There was water bottle, first-aid kit and my book. He apologized for it being little bit soaked but saw me reading it when they were partying upstairs. I put the backpack on my back and thanked him. He helped me up and we started walking forward the beach where the boat wreck pieces reached.

V
I saw footprints on the beach, they started from the waterline and went straight to the forest. It looked like someone was running. I followed the footprints but stopped at the forest line. This cant be good.. This is a bad idea, but we cant be in the sun the whole day. We need water to drink, so I kept going. I needed to cover my face from the plants and bushes with my hand while walking forward slowly. I literally had no idea what direction the person would have ran, so I started looking more carefully around me. Is there any broken branches or something on the ground. The leaves on the ground looks like they have been stepped.  We kept following the tracks for hours. The guy called me by my name and asked me to stop and listen. I stopped and listened, I heard nothing and asked him what did he hear. The I heard it too, someone was talking just a little bit right to us. We walked really slowly towards the speech, I recognized the voice! It was Amelies! I started walking faster and faster and called my sisters name. I heard her calling for me. I ran through a bush and almost fell on my sisters lap. I screamed from joy and started crying. We were hugging each other so thigh that I barely could breath anymore. I finally found my beloved sister, she was everything to me even thought we were so different. Amelie asked why am I with Antony. I explained what happened to her, but then I came to ask my sister, what did she ran away from. She looked at me and didn't seem wanting to answer my question. She told me that she saw someone on the further beach and this person started running towards her. Amelie got scared and ran into the forest.
We got up after she finished telling what happened and kept walking more deeper into the forest.

VI

We came to an open area where was tiny waterfall. Antony ran to the water and started drinking water by dipping almost his whole head under the water. I took my backpack off from my back and took the empty water bottle, I started filling it with water and then drank it empty, repeated two times and then put the full bottle into my backpack.
I asked Amelie to come next to me, she sat down and I started washing off dried blood from my sisters face.
Amelie were still in her tight party dress so I looked into my backpack was there any spare clothes I could give her.
I gave her my leggings and blouse. She dressed up and we continued walking to search any food.

VII
I was picking up fruits with Amelie we were familiar with. In the meanwhile Antony were trying to build something what could be used as a spear. It started to get slightly dark so we returned near the waterfall to make an campfire. We collected dry leafs and twigs. Thank goodness Antony had found an working lighter from the boat so it didn't take long after we got out campfire lighted up with its dancing flames.

We ate and went to sleep... I couldn't fall asleep after Amelie told me about this person at the beach. What if hes following us..? I stayed up for hours until i fell asleep. When I woke up the flame was out already.  Antony and Amelie were awake and filling their water bottles. I felt terrible, it was really hot and I was sweating. I tried to get up but I couldn't. Amelie noticed I was awake and wished me good morning, she saw I wasn't doing okay so she ran to me while asking what is it.
She placed palm of her cold hand on my forehead and told me I had high fever. Amelie helped me to drink some water and told me to sleep some more, I need to rest. I closed my eyes and it didn't take long for me to fall asleep again.
In my dream I could only hear the sound of waves..

Will I survive the night? Or is this how my life will end?

I sit ok to end the story like this because it.. is pretty long ? ^^

Survival Guide: Top Secret Tips

If you ever find yourself stranded on a strange island (deserted would be ideal, but if you can't find one a populated island is alright too) and you don't want to seem like a basic bitch survivor in front of your cool indie friends these tips and tricks are ideal for you.

1. Start the trip with a classic philosophical dilemma:
Force all of your friends to hold a vote over which one of you has to volunteer to be killed by the wildlife to appease the local gods. (An ideal setup includes a pregnant friend, a doctor and Bear Grylls. If Bear Grylls is unavailable try to get Lofty Wiseman, while he is not as young as Bear he is both more experienced and wiser)

2. Impress your friends by eating about 2kg of raw meat (pre-bought)
This step is self-explanatory. If you get sick while doing to try bloodletting; Never forget: All of your vital juices should be balanced.

3. Split up your friends and create a Lord Of The Flies situation.
Establish an unjust capitalist economy and charge your friends for every bloodletting. This will ensure that the trip will end with you gaining free money instead of having to earning it. (Optional: Start a cult that worships small island creatures)

4. Narrowly avoid being decapitated by your friends for being an Absolutist Pig and Unjust Ruler by consuming the flesh of the leaders of the revolution. You gain their power and free raw meat.
No further instructions.

5. Decide to end the trip
Get your yacht captain to pick you up. Before you start the sea voyage check if you carry enough citrus fruits to fight off scurvy.

unexpected discovery

I come to the island to laze around in the sun a lot. In the shallow water area are a lot of rocks perfect for this. Flat but raised, witht he waves gently tapping against them. I can enjoy the sun lying there and flop back into the water when my skin and scales become too dry.
It was a day just  like that. I was out there on the shore lying on my favorite spot as I saw something moving out of my peripheral visual field. Shocked I promply slide off the rock and landed in the water with a loud splash, and thus gained the attention of the intruder. My over-water vision is blurry at best, so I coudldnt make out any real details as I shyly peeked around my hiding spot to investigate. The blurry outline of the unidentified lifeform stopped moving and seemed to be staring right at me, but with my vision being as it is I couldnt be sure. After a while of staring and not moving on both sides the form slowly started moving towards me.
I froze.
I stared blankly at the blurry blobs of color as it approches.
As it is near enough to touch me or I it - if I extended my arms - I finally broke free of my stupor and in a panik grabed the form and draged it underwater with me. Back in the deeper water I felt much less vulnerable and turned to look at whatever I dragged with me. Shocked realization spread on my face. A landman! I found a landman!
We have paintings of them back at the village and myths about them, but I had never seen a real one before. Supposedly they don't live in our area. This was so exiting!
I had to show the others!
With a new spurt of energy I sprinted towards our village, dragging it with me. At first it struggled a lot and tried to break free of my grasp and wiggled, and tried to swim up, but it seems I was way stronger than it. After a while it got weaker and eventually stopped. It must have accecpted its fate.

An Unfortunate Guide for the Lucky

Somehow, you end up on a deserted island. Trust me, we have all been there. But, you are prepared! Hopefully. If you are lucky, you have remembered to bring your “three essential things you would bring on a deserted island” and you made some good choices. If you are lucky, you should be in the possession of a working boat. However… Maybe you are not that lucky. Maybe you decided bringing a boat was a feasible option. But, do not fret! There are still solutions at hand for those who were not smart enough to prepare.

Step O1: Make friends with the locals! They will provide a helping hand for you building your raft, or boat, to leave the island. No locals? No problem! Make friends with the animals instead. Start with collecting food for not you, but the animals on the island. This will provide a good start in your journey towards departure. Doubt me? Watch Snow White, Cinderella… Or really, any movie that contains animals. They are more helpful than you can imagine.

Step O2
: Make yourself at home. It doesn’t take seven days to build a raft (at least a good raft) and animals are not going to be easily swayed to be on your side. Find a place to live, all deserted island have caves, but be sure you make yourself a weapon or two before to fight off the bear who probably lives in the cave. You can take a friendly approach to, the bear might show to be a good ally, but the chance of getting eaten and violently killed will increase.

Step O3: You somehow succeeded to take over the cave and settled. The animals took a liking to you quickly and you realise, this isn’t so bad. Somehow, it’s now years later. You started a farm to grow vegetables and fruits and harvested the island of it’s natural resources. The animals seemed to like you, until you started to chop down their homes to build your new and improved man-cave. They have now turned on you and forced to return to your original plan. Luckily, with the years on the island you know it’s ins and outs. You make a map of the place place to departure and with your new skill in construction you can quickly get together a working boat with it’s own motor made from bamboo.

Step O4: You avoid the animals by leaving your farm unattained. They feed off your produce while you sneak away with your raft above your head. Not all animals are stupid, however, and in your journey you are forced to whack a few monkeys on the head who wants a refund ever since you scammed them, promising to make them banana bread with the bananas you stole but… you never did. You finally arrive at shore.

Step O5: Say goodbye to your old friends! While you use your makeshift motor to navigate your way to the sea, the animals have stopped at the shore. They scream after you, with their animal sounds. You wonder for a moment how you could have lived in this environment for so many years. You survive a few days out on the open water, forgetting to bring a single piece of food or clean water in your hasty escape. But with your luck, a cruise happens to pass you dying on the rift and rescues you. However, after spending the few days without food and water you have started to hallucinate. The monkeys want their banana bread, the local crocodile is at your heels…

Returning to civilisation, you cannot speak of the things you endured at the island. Mostly out of shame for scamming those monkeys and lying to the birds that you didn’t have any left-over worms when in fact you did. You never feel good about yourself ever again, moving out in the woods to live off the lands like you did on the island – except without the animals. You think, if I would do it again… I would definitely bring a boat. To, you know, avoid getting into drama with the animals and have a near-death experience. So the next time you think about going to an island, remember to pack a boat!

Oh no, we’re stuck on an unknown island in the middle of nowhere and our transport is destroyed. What should we do?

Well fear not, here’s a guide on ways to escape an island.First of all, you should stay calm and save up your energy.

Attract attention for help:
Of course we have to make an S.O.S sign to signal for help. You can draw one with a stick on the beach orif you have a fire source then just dry leaves to make an S.O.S pattern, then light it up on fire, it can attract attention at night.

You should make a fire for protection against wild animals, heat and light source,
here are some ways to light up a fire.

Use a pair glasses to filter the sun’s heat to a certain point. If you have a pair of glasses, that’s great! Just have the glass faced upwards and move it around a pile of DRY wood or leaves. And when you find the hottest point, just stay there. The dry leaves will light up on fire in no time.

If its night time, its alright. Just take a piece of object that fits your palm and a dry wooden log. Rub the object up and down the log with high speed to create heat from the contact. The dry log will light up on fire. But it takes time so don’t give up.

If you have a lighter in your backpack. Just use that instead.Secondly, find clean, drinkable water source. Our human body’s most important need is water source, if you can’t find food, its alright! Even though you can just find fruits, but be careful, some fruits are poisonous and not edible. When you’re stranded on an island, there’s water from the sea everywhere. But, they’re too salty. Over salted drinks and food can harm your mind, so cook your water before you drink it.

If you have been stuck on that damn island for a long time, it is better to find a shelter, you can make one with big leaves and logs or just find a inhabited cave.

Well those are the basics what-you-need-to-do when stranded guide.
Thank you for reading.

END

One of the "sticky" situations that comes in my mind is the time when I went with my ex boyfriend to the sea. We spent 4 night and 5 days there but when we left for home we decide to stop in another sea station for a couple of hours and we lost the train back home. So we had to get another train to another city because it wasn`t any train directly to my city  (60 km from home), more expensive with our last money. So we left at 10pm with the train with the destination Bucharest. We arrived at 00 am in the Baneasa Bucharest station where we found out that there where not coming any train to my home city so we had to leave for the North Station, that is veryy far from where we were...so with no money and any clue how to get to the station we started to walk with our luggage's in hands  , 2 crazy fools in the middle in the night. We started to ask for directions and i still remember the people face expressions when we asked for North Station direction. They all said "is very far, try taking a taxi till there". But with no money for that we smiled and asked for direction . At some point, after a hour or 2 of walking we found a total stranger that after he gave the directions to how to get to the station he looked at us and said "you guys come with me to the car, I`ll take you to the station", we were ashamed because we had no money, but he didn`t want any money for the ride so he really took us there. We couldn`t believe it. So we got to the station,  but we didn`t have money for the train tickets, well..we had for one ticket (at that time it wasn`t very expensive the ticket, now it is :)) ) so my ex had the guts to get money for one more ticket,  he found 2 girls and he complained that he lost his wallet with all his money and documents, bla bla and the girls gave him the money for the ticket, it was funy at that time and is still funny. So again we were in the station..at 3 am in the morning, on the chairs in the station and he was sleeping on the chairs with the head on my lap and I was trying to keep my eyes awake till 5am when we had the train to my home. We finally arrived home, at 6 and half in the morning, tired but happy for the happy memory. Still have the photos from that time, a time when crazy thinks could happen any time.

My Simple Guide to how to escape from an Island (or an attempt at it)

1. First of all, I Looked around!
I tried to find anything that was with me before the accident happened. I found my backpack completely soaked, with a cellphone that isn't waterproof for my misfortune, some cereal bars, coins and a bottle of water.
After that I looked around and catch everything that could be used as supplies later, like sticks, rocks – some smooth, others sharpers – big leaves and wreckage brought by the sea.

2. Water and food
If you have water and some kind of food, good, but don’t waste them. Is important stay hydrated and fed, however you don’t know how many time you will stay trapped on this island.

3. Campfire
It’s important looking for food but in this moment you don’t know how are the nights on this island and the creatures that live on it. Thinking on it, I bothered to make a campfire to keep me warm on cold nights, to generate light, to keep me safe and frighten away possibly wild animals.
Making a campfire is fairly simple. Simply place the twigs stacked, but not directly on the ground, try to line the place with fibers and leaves of any kind. Then make fire, which can be done either from the friction of wood with wood or stone with stone.

4. Exploring
The next day you’ll probably find yourself in the same situation as me: you’ll wake up hungry and thirsty and realize that the food you have won’t be enough. My solution for that was explore.
On my first exploration of the island, I worried about going after fruit trees and a natural reservoir for drinking water. After a first exploration, it is always important to look for other resources such as vines for example.
For me the hardest part was finding drinking water, and if you are going through the same situation I recommend stopping and resting, your quest will be useless and you will probably get bored and thirsty. My solution to this are coconuts! They are delicious and have plenty of water, but how to open them?

5. Tools
Which brings me to step 5. Do you remember the sharp stones, twigs and vines you got? Sharp stones are perfect for breaking coconuts, if you know where to stab them accurately. By being able to attach a good pointed stone to a twig, it will become a good tool for breaking, cutting and even fishing!

6. Healthy Mind and Patience
Now you know the essentials to survive, what remains are adaptations, but spending days on an island can become extremely annoying and unhealthy for the mind. Try to occupy your hands and thoughts with other things. Try to escape or be rescued, write HELP or S.O.S in the sand, either with stones or sticks. And above all, don’t lose hope. I know how this situation can be frustrating and maddening, but I have come through it and at some point it seems impossible to escape. But it’ll happen! Someone will appear, they’ll miss you, they’ll look for you, they’ll send search teams to find you and when it is over you’ll realize that all your efforts paid off, so don’t lose hope.

im the realest

ok im gonna talk abt this time where i felt like an actual ninja n trust me my life is p straight-edge so this was like WHEEEZE 2 me ok

so it was senior party this day n every year its the same bullshit where the seniors make everyone else at school do stupid and embarrasing shit, like giving lapdances to teachers n dumb stuff like that. so this year i was like NO im out im not doing this shit

problem is, attendance is still mandatory on that day so i needed to be reaaaally sneAKy sneak !! so during the assembly sort of thing where they call random people up to the stage for shit i excused myself to go to the bathroom, n thats where problem #1 came up:

our school has two bathrooms, in 2 different buildings (on the opposite side of a street), i obv needed to get to the street to get away from school so i had to convince the teachers standing at the door that i needed to be at the opposite bathroom. they were like NAh s0n why donchu just go here ?? and i was like no this one is dirty and gross (even tho its the cleaner ... newer one lmao) n eventually one of them was like ok fine but im going with u ...................

so that was problem #2 i was fucked big time basically but so i went to that opposite bathroom n started panicking like i could hear the teacher outside nd i needed to get out n onto the street somehow without her noticing ,, how

SO this is where my major ninja moves come in. so my stuff is in the area of that other bathroom, including a completely different jacket. so i switch jackets n pull my hood over my head n slowly come out ,, im rly lucky n notice the teacher has moved to stand like by the street instead of by the bathrooms. so i sneak out REAL james bond style, i go to one of the classrooms connecting to the street n wait ,, just spying on this teacher waiting for her to move

after a while she's obviously like ok wtf this bitch is taking forever in the bathroom n so she starts walking back to the bathroom !! thats when i open the window of the classroom connecting to the street, get out real quick, n then casually start walking away from school

= ninja

here's a visual to go with it

hv a nice day

Vig’s Unclassified Island Survival Guide (In 10 steps or less)

1.If you’re ever stranded on an island, be sure tocall for help for at least 2 hours before realizing you are screwed.

2. In order to avoid being alone in the dark, starta fire. You can either take two sticks and some dry grass and rub them together,or take two random stones and try to make a spark. If you failed at making afire at this point, well, you’re going to swim with the fishes soon buddy.

3.Speaking of fishes, take the two stones orsticks that you used to miserably fail at starting a fire, and try to capture a
fish for a meal. If the fish is bigger than you, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CATCH IT. You will end up being the fish’s dinner instead.

4.If step 3 failed, redo step 1.

5.If step 1 failed twice, continue onto step 6.

6.The best way to build a shelter is to find aproper base. Try to locate your shelter not too far inland, but not too far out
towards the water. The base should be composed of a tree in order to at least cover your head, and in the case of any storms. Try to find some sticks and large leaves, in order to create a barricade from surrounding wildlife. If you
find that an angry animal has taken over your base, run for safety… somewhere else and start over.

7.(If) you have successfully created your shelter;it is time to figure out a plan on how to survive against any predators. Make
sure to take two big sticks you might have used to not really make a fire, and hit them together while screaming like a maniac in case of an attack. This will either scare away the approaching predator, or you just made it super angry and
it is ready to maul your face off. Now onto step 8.

8.Run like hell.
9.Now that you have successfully completed step 8,it is probably already nighttime. Now that you have (maybe) survived your first day stranded on a deserted island, you know what to expect for the future! Proceed onto step 10.

10.  Count your prayers, hope someone saves you.Count the amount of days you think you will survive (probably less than a
week).

A Picture Frame For My Worries
So I live in the states and what most universities have the incoming freshman do is go to their orientations.
The organizers had us all follow a schedule where we had to meet at specific times otherwise we miss out on important information.
It was 6 p.m. and I decided to lay down on my uncomfortable bed and put my headphones on. Since my next meeting wasn’t going to be until 9 p.m. I figured I might as well relax until then. I ended up passing out and didn’t get up until 10:20 p.m.
I got off my bunk bed and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like someone on drugs since my eyes were all red and teary. I quickly tried to fix myself but I couldn’t do anything about my eyes since I didn’t bring eye drops. I prayed that no one would notice my eyes.
Since the schedule didn’t mention an end time and my roommate didn’t come back yet, I knew I could still somehow make it. I ran outside of the building and across the campus to get the meeting.
I finally got to the building and when I tried to open the doors to get into the lecture hall, it was locked. I tried the other door beside it and it was locked too. I was so dumbfounded. All of the doors of the meeting places were always unlocked. Why were they locked now? Since I didn’t know what to do, I went to a nearby bathroom and tried to collect myself. I thought I could either leave and pretend I went the meeting or stay near the hall and hope for the best.
As I went back near the doors, I saw a janitor. I thought I would go up to the janitor and ask if he could open the doors. Nope. All I did was say hello and he ignored me. Maybe because I looked like a drug-addict with my eyes or maybe because he didn’t hear me. I will never know.
I just stayed still for a minute and I saw a couple of girls came out of the lecture hall and after two minutes, a girl came back, opened the door, and went in. So after she went in, I tried to open the door again. What I didn’t realize was that you are able to open it just by pulling it hard enough.
I was so incredibly shocked that I just sat in a seat and just watched the videos the organizers put on without looking as if I missed everything. My leader didn’t even notice I missed the meeting and gave me a picture frame as we all left.
I had stressed over the meeting for nothing and got a picture frame for my worries.
That was how I got stuck in a sticky situation that wasn’t at all important.
