It's time for another deadly sins competition! 
This month, the theme is Vanity

Definition according to the seven deadly sins, Vanity is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. 

For this competition, all you have to do is create a poem or story that you think best represents the sin. The writing piece must be your own. If we find out that it has been copied from somewhere else that will result in you getting disqualified. 

You have until Saturday, January 27th at 10PM EST to get your entries in 

There will be a total of 5 female winners and 5 male winners

The winners will receive this beautiful set designed by Nama! 



There are 2 other competitions that you can also enter in for a chance to win!

Confused and embarrassed, the balloon backed off
Awkwardly greeting the pump with a cough
While it took long for the pump to recover
Soon it was reciting verses like an elderly mother
 
“You, who wishes for attention, have summoned me.
However be wary, for those who lean to sin
Will bring about their downfall from within.”
 
Not listening at all, the balloon was enthralled
Oh, the thought of being noticed, which used to be bogus!
 
Cut forward a week after the pump had appeared
And the balloon was a spectacle to be loved and revered
Large in size, the balloon was a tree!
The once boring color now reflecting light with glee

Shimmer and sparkle, did the balloon do
While its confidence and pride exponentially grew
 
Soon the balloon was arrogant,
Acting opposite of benevolent
Trashing and attacking other balloons
And labeling everyone else as buffoons

But, oh! The balloon thought itself amazing!
The prettiest of all, worthy of endless praising!
 
Noticing this, the pump switched its air
From helium to burning plants— what a nightmare!
Not noticing change, the balloon refilled with smoke
Then tried to float over and boast to townsfolk
 
But dear, what a failure…
Its color was no longer that of a savior
Stained black by tar and unable hover
Had the balloon truly, truly discovered:
 
“Foolish me, who thought I was greatest,
Was only blessed by whomever that created.
However felled by my sinful behavior,
I will still believe the pump was the traitor!”
 
The pump promptly replied with this:
“Dude, I even warned you.”
And popped the balloon to bits.
