do u find it insensitive when a cis person says smth like, "i would look good as [the opposite of my gender]" ? i did it the other day on my snapchat n didnt think anything of it then but now im concerned if its a shitty thing to do.

this might apply to anyone thats *nonbinary too but im not sure? anyway if anyone wants to offer their thoughts/feelings pls do i would v much appreciate it

*changed frm "genderqueer"

No, not at all. Nothing insensitive about imagining how things would be in a different situation

Btw have you tried using FaceApp? It has a male/female filter, which is kinda fun. While it didn't really work out well using my own face, the filters went perfectly with one of my dad's pictures, lmao

it's cisnormative so it's kinda insensitive but imo it's just avg cis ignorance? so many trans ppl might not find it offensive, but it should still be avoided, since it perpetuates cisnormativity.
and i personally find it more insensitive/offensive when cis ppl tell me or any other binary trans person tht "omg u look better than me!". this statement is also based on cisnormativity, but it's much worse cuz it implies trans ppl should look worse than cis ppl of the same gender or look less like a certain gender than cis ppl.

also: genderqueer is a valid id imo but u shouldn't use it to describe trans ppl since queer is a slur many ppl aren't comfortable with! trans is an umbrella term for both nb and binary trans identities but if u wanna talk specifically abt nb ppl just use nb ppl!

i hope i explained it well?? u can ask me if i wasn't too clear!

You have a point, but it also depends on the way you bring it. As long as you're respectful and reasonable, it should be okay.

About your second statement in the same alinea, of course transgenders are not necessarily less pretty than cis people, but it's a fact that they were grown up with the appearance they feel comfortable with and transgenders have to take hormones to gain it. Not sure if you meant this though
