So yes, in my opinion, you have to raise your kid in a certain way to some degree so that they can "survive" in this society. The child should ofc still be able to be who they want to be, but they're also gonna live in a society with other people. So yes, basic manners are a must.

obviously there's no way to make all parents raise their kids a certain way. so when i say "should kids be raised a certain way", i mean do you approve of any way the parent chooses or do you personally consider some ways unacceptable/wrong.

I think if the parent isn’t being neglectful or abusive, then it’s none of my business.

I don't think I would be friends with people like that, to begin with. lol

If they're raising their kids in a way that evidently will make the kid a spoiled brat, then I might passively comment on it, but in the end, it's really up to the parent. And ofc it depends on how close I am with the parents. I wouldn't say anything if I barely knew them.

If I saw someone who was raising their kids with violence or something like that and they did it in front of me I would definitely say something. And if it kept going on behind closed doors and I knew the kid wanted out then I would help all I could. And just in general be an emotional support to the kid if I knew them somehow.

of course, we never know everything and we never know how people will evolve or what they will need
but if you do everything in the thought of it being the best for your child later on, it's about the best that can happen (of course, normal things being covered, like teaching them a proper behaviour, socialising them, respecting their needs, etc)
