ugh sorry if this one sucks, re writing it -_-
~~

Hailee listened to the words he was saying, it seemed so strange having him show how much he cared but he wasn't wrong about her not being treated right, "well you aren't wrong.. but I can't talk about it, not here." she let out a sigh, but turned to look at him when he started to move her hair. Their eyes locked and for just a moment she thought they were about to kiss but he averted his gaze and she shuffled a little in her seat trying to pull herself together. "Come on, there must be more to you than your good body and a few relationships that didn't work out. Or are you just trying to remain mysterious Dymitrius?" she smirked a little, "Tell me something about yourself that not many people know, seeing as you now know so much about me it seems only fair."

Finlay wanted nothing more than for her warm lips to stay pressed against his skin, she had always been filled with passionate affection and her touch felt out of this world. It was hard to explain exactly how or why, but no one else he had ever been with could touch him and cause the same reaction that Martina did. "I feel like we should be singing a duet of that Rewrite the Stars song from the Greatest Showman, it seems accurate for us now." he chuckled softly before kissing her forehead. He turned, heading to the bar to place his now empty whisky glass down before coming back to her, "well I can't wait to meet her when he time is right, but I am glad that this night will be just ours, it seems fitting." he let his hand slide into hers as they headed towards the exit. On the way he said goodbye to a couple of people before they were outside and the cool night wind swept through his hair. "Is your place nearby? or would you like me to call a taxi?" he said with a smile on his lips.

Dymitrius shrugged in a casual manner, "we could always go somewhere a bit more private if you wanted to chat, I'm guessing your husband is home, but my place is empty. I've got a bottle of wine in the fridge, something stronger if you wanted it. Nothing dodgy or whatever but the offer is there." He held his hands in the air, an almost innocent smile on his face. "Good body? You've not even seen the most impressive part yet but whatever you say, sweet." The confidence boost fold his head like a hot air balloon and he couldn't help feeling proud, he'd worked hard on his image and was finally happy with himself. "Well.. I got myself in some trouble a little while ago. I wasn't into the gang thing, I nevertheless have been, but this tattoo here.." he pointed to a small symbol on the side of his hand, ".. turns out it's the rivals or something. They kinda gave me a harsh warning, couple of stab wounds later but I'm all good."

Martina was overwhelmed with relief. They could skip the awkwardness part of the start of a relationship and just carry on. They knew each other's bodies, their pet peeves. Sure, some things would be different but she was already so comfortable around him, in her eyes, Finlay was her true love. "Except for we are t in a freak circus show, and nothing is keeping us apart this time." She giggled twirling under his arm, she waltzed out with him, and as soon as they hit the street she stopped, kicking her heels off, she swooped down and scooped them up with her middle and index finger, linking arms with him. "Much better, and we can walk if you're okay with that. It's not too far away." Tucking her bag under her arm, she took a hold of his hand again, walking along the pavement bare footed. the cool pavement was almost soothing on her aching feet.

Hailee let the idea mull over in her head, could she really get away with going to his? probably not.. and thats when it happened, a lightbulb went off in her head. "actually Marcus is out of town right now but I still don't think my place is exactly the best place to go, plus a bottle of wine sounds like the best idea right around now." she said with a soft smile on her lips. A soft pink blush covered her cheeks when he mentioned the most important part of him, " I umm.." she was speechless is what she was, no words seemed to come out of her lips and she couldn't help but let out an embarrassing laugh, "is that an offer?" she raised her eyebrow a little before he started talking about his hand and the moment he showed her the symbol she recognised it. "oh my god.." she whispered softly, taking his hand in hers and running her hand along the symbol.

"Okay okay smart ass, so maybe there is just a few differences! but we could work on our trapeze act and see if any circus would take us." Finlay said with a laugh as she began to dance around, god she was perfection. "I don't mind walking at all, as long as your little feetsies aren't hurting too much." he said with a huge grin painted across his face. They waltzed down the street, he was holding her close to him, as if the world might just pull her away if he wasn't care. At the same time he couldn't stop thinking about what might happen when all the truth came out but maybe he could get away with breaking things off with his fiancé as smoothly as possible and then actually be single so he could just be with Martina. In classic Finlay style, he had decided to leave the specifics for much later and for now wanted to focus entirely on making this evening incredible.

Dymitrius shook her head. "Oh nooo, you're not getting out of it now, if Marcus is out of town I wanna come round, I need to see his lifestyle. We can stop at a bargain booze and I'll get you some wine though, can't have you missing out on that." He clasped their hands together, moving himself so he was only centimetres away now. "Well it wasn't a denial, that was for sure." Fire, hot smoking fire and you're in it right now, boy. But he didn't care, she was hot and the fact that she was married simply made him want to fight the challenge even more. Looking at his hand, he ran his finger along it gently. "I try to keep my sleeves over my hands now.. being stabbed is one thing I don't fancy being shot any time soon, I don't think my body would recover quite as well from that." He shook his head, letting their hands stay together this time. "Fancy one more drink? Or shall we just head to yours now?"

Martina giggled. "Nobody puts baby in the corner. I wonder if you can still catch me if we did that.. we'll have to try that some time." Dawdling along the streets with him, she rested into his side, half for warmth and half for support, she was absolutely knackered and it was far past her bed time. For now she was on cloud nine but she knew she had consequences to face. What if things got serious, how was he supposed to find out about his daughter? She only hoped he would be happy and not leave at the first sight of fatherhood. She pushed the thoughts away for now, things were only just heating up. Pulling her keys out of her bag, Martina unlocked the door and let them both in, the feeling of the beating blasting her cheeks, a shiver running through her body. "Welcome to my humble abode.. it's not much, but I love it."

"waittt I don't know if thats a good idea, D" Hailee said quickly, but she could tell that there was going to be no way to change her mind, "you know what, fine, you can get a free tour of my life." she shook her head for a moment, trying not to overthink everything. "You know I could maybe do a cover up on your hand, I mean.. that way you wouldn't need to try and hide it all the time." she paused, "only if you wanted though, of course." Laughing a little she shook her head, "lets just get going, before I change my mind." she laughed, budging him to the edge of the booth so they could both stand up. She grabbed her handbag and slung it over her shoulder, pulling her hair out from under the strap. For a moment she gazed down at her heels, amazed at how long it had been since her feet last hurt wearing them. The last five years heels had been pretty much the only thing she wore. "come on then." she said, heading out of the bar and into the harsh cold air, "fuck sake its raining now."

"As long as you give me a heads up I'm sure I could.. maybe.. we can practice if there is at least three blankets on the ground and A LOT of pillows." Finlay said with a laugh as they walked along the street, gazing around the neighbourhood. It had been a long time since he had been on this side of town, his fiancee lived in a rather expensive two bedroom house with a ridiculously huge extension. He slipped in behind Martina once they reached her place, "hey, it's a place to call home! I'm currently in-between places so I am envious." he said as he shut the door behind him and kicked off his shoes. "it's nice and cosy in here, unlike outside." he laughed, gazing around and spotting the bathroom, "I'll be just a minute, gonna use the little boys room" he said as he slipped in and locked the door. He pulled his phone out, no unread messages.. good. Looking through his numbers he pulled up Dymitrius' and quickly sent a text you will not believe this, Martina and I have made up for what happened all those years ago! we are actually hanging out after the reunion thing. sorry for leaving you high and dry but I saw you got chatting to someone, hope you had fun.

Dymitrius shook his head. "Nah your dad not getting out of this now, I'm far too excited. I'll make him a sandwich and shove my dick in it before he eats it.. sorry you didn't need that visual, but god I hate him. I might just be biased because I've been on the other side of his knife but still." Waving bye to his workers, he headed out the bar with Hailee, the rain pouring down on them both. Taking off his jacket he draped it over her shoulders and head, effectively as a shield from the rain it was that big compared to her. "If you covered it up will you tattoo my ass for free?" He teased, his arm around her waist as she led the way to her house. He roughly knew the area but D didn't want to seem too full on. "Still need to get some wine or is therE something at yours we can have?" He pulled his phone out and raised both eyebrows. What about your missus? Hope everything is okay, have a good one mate.

Martina threw her shoes to the floor and chucked her bag down on the small table in the hallway, stretching her arms above her head. "Hey, I didn't keep that much baby weight, you'd survive." Smirking slightly, she reached up and let her hair loose from its half up do, before flopping onto the sofa and turning the television on quietly. Her home was her sanctuary, her safe place and though small and ramped, she loved what she got to call home. "Okey dokey, I'll fetch us some drinks." Pushing herself from the sofa, she slid along the laminate flooring into her kitchen, pulling out two mugs and boiling the kettle. Getting her phone out from her bag while she waited she checked through her messages, sending one to her daughter. I've got some big news but don't worry, good night angel, I'll speak to you tomorrow. Xxxx Sliding it away when Finlay Coke back, her smile beamed up at him. "Hot chocolate before bed?"

Hailee couldn't quite understand his excitement about coming round to her place, "Jesus Christ yeah dymitrius, I REALLY did not need a detailed description of that." but regardless, she was laughing at what he had to say but that laugh faded, "wait.. Marcus was the one that stabbed you?" she looked at him, instantly feeling hate for herself for sticking by someone that was so horrible, but this wasn't new to her so why did it suddenly bother her so much? "Thanks" She said as he wrapped her up in his jacket, it smelled.. incredible, god when did he become such a hunk it wasn't fair. "That sounds like a deal to me." As they walked along the street in somewhat of a hurry to get out of the rain she added, "theres some at home I'm pretty sure." she kept quiet the majority of the way until they arrived in front of her three bedroom house. Hurrying up to the front door she unlocked it and slid inside, "uh .. welcome to my house. Please keep your dick away from the kitchen.. for now at least."

Finlay relieved himself of the liquids in his body, flushed and washed his hands and read the response from Dymitrius, something for another day mate, you know the score. He hit send then deleted the last three messages, just incase. Shoving his phone into his jacket pocket he left the bathroom, "Yes please! You always made the best hot chocolate.. but only if you've got the little marshmallows, you know they are my favourite." he laughed as he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and kissed the side of her neck. "is this still your sensitive spot?" he whispered against her ear before stepping back to shrug off his jacket. "on another note, this is a gorgeous place you know." He threw his leather jacket over the back of the sofa, yawning a little bit and ruffling his hair about.

Dymitrius nodded slowly. "I didn't deliver something to his mate in time and so obviously that means I was plotting something, obviously my grandmother wasn't ill and I was helping my grandpappi." The thought still angered him and he had to do all he can to hold himself back. "Like I said I'm not actually involved in the gangs but I know enough about the ins and outs." Sliding in behind Hailee, he made sure the front door was securely locked, checking the message on his phone. There's something you're not telling me and I wanna know. Looking round, nodding in satisfaction. "Nice place you got here. You've kept it looking good, Hails." He took off his shoes, out of respect, sliding up in front of her, their faces barely apart. His hands now gently on her wrists, he looked into her eyes, taking a deep breath. "For now, at least.." he repeated, his voice a whisper. His hands railing down until they fell into hers, he followed her into the kitchen.

Martina slid onto her tip toes, the warmth of his body engulfing every inch of her, just the way she liked it. Nobody had ever made her body feel the way that he did, the tickle spot on the inside of her left thigh, the di pled at the bottom of her back you could take shots from, they were that deep and.. oh god, there he was at the crook of her neck. Gripping onto the counter tightly, her eyes closed, her toes curling with delight. "God damn it you know that's my sensitive spot Fin.." she shook her had once he pulled away, her cheeks a rather bright shade of red, a little flustered. "Me and Rosita love it. We move around a few times before we settled here, but this is home now. I couldn't imagine being anywhere else." She squirted cream onto the hot chocolates, along with tiny marsh mellows, passing him the giant cup. "There you are good sir. We can head straight upstairs if you want, I kind of just want my bed."

Hailee fell silent while Dymitrius explained the situation, "I'm so sorry.." she said softly, wishing there was something she could do to make up for what had happened but the reality was that she couldn't change a thing. "It's best that way, to stay out of it all." She kicked off her heels, now feeling much shorter in comparison to D but her feed were thankful for the chance to breath. She also pulled his jacket off from around her shoulders and hung it up, "why thank you." Her heart started to be faster as his voice lowered to a whisper, Pull yourself together Hailee you are married. Once in the kitchen she opened up the wine cooler and pulled out a bottle of red wine, placing it on the counter top, "what would you like?" she said as she opened up the cupboard filled with a wide variety of spirits, but beside the bottle of whisky sat one of many pistols that could be found within the house. She moved her hands back to the bottle of the wine which she quickly opened and took a big swig straight from the bottle.

Finlay spotted a picture of Martina and Rosita on the fridge, held there by a few quirky magnets. Rosita was a beautiful young girl, her eyes had the same sparkle as Martina's has and seeing them side by side made him smile, "This is a gorgeous photo of you both." he commented, not specifically too Martina but more just thinking out loud. His attention turned back to the hot chocolate when he heard the sound of the whipped cream leaving the can, "mmm even cream, you are spoiling me this evening." he chuckled, coming back over to her side to pick up the cup and take a small sip, "mmm just as delicious as I remember" he smiled, licking his lips free of the cream. "you want to get me in your bed already huh? wasting no time." he said with a light hearted laugh, "I'm only teasing you, lead the way princess." Princess. The little nickname he had given her back in the day, not because she was stuck up or demanding but because of her beauty, kindness and elegance.

D nodded in agreement. "I learnt that a long time ago, I'm just a middle man now who gets a nice little bundle of cash every now and again." Sitting himself on one of the bar stools, he tapped his fingers on the edge of the white marble counter, looking around the room. It looked so normally and mundane, almost anyone could live here, if it weren't for the thousands of laundered cash he suspected was hidden under all sorts of random things. Turning his head to look at Hailee, he nodded towards the bottle of wine. "I'll just had what you're having. Can't have it being wasted, can we?" He pushed his fingers through his damp tousled hair, watching every movement she made, with so much ease and elegance. He was dumbstruck. "I keep wondering to myself, why the hell did we never speak when we were back in college? I feel like I've wasted a lot of time not knowing you all these years."

Martina looked over her shoulder at him, taking a long sip from the hot chocolatey lava liquid, a small line of cream trailing across her top lip. There was no point in wiping it away, it would only reappear with another sip. "That was her eighth birthday. She loved ponies so I hired out the stables for the day. You know how much I hate horses.. I actually rode one that day. Still scared of the buggers, they're ginormous!" Giggling softly, she led up along the hallway to the stairs, hitting his arm playfully. "Yeah yeah yeah, I want none of that silly business thank you very much, I just want my pyjamas. I could make you sleep on the ground if I was feeling really mean right now. It's a good job you're in my good books tonight, Fin." She narrowed her eyes, but the smile on her lips gave away the light hearted meaning of her words. Her heart beating, hearing her nickname. No one had called her that for ten years. God damn it, he knew how to pull at her heart strings.

Hailee wasn't about to push him for more information on what he did as a middle man, she knew that in that sort of field it was usually best not to talk about it. "I suppose I can share," she said with a smile before grabbing two glasses out of the cupboard, "come through to the living room, it's a lot more comfortable than these shitty stools" As she wondered past him into the living room she purposefully brushed herself against him, perhaps it would be fun to flirt with him just a little. She placed the wine and glasses down on the coffee table and sat herself down on the sofa. "probably for the best, I was pretty off the rails at that point in my life." she paused for a moment, considering her next words carefully, "I suppose I can tell you how my life ended up here now.. if you are still interested that is."

Finlay shook his head, "no fucking way did you ride a horse," he couldn't help but laugh at the thought, shaking his head, "wish I could of seen that. your face must have been so pale. Did they give you the smallest pony they could find?!" he chuckled to himself for a little longer before letting out a soft sigh, "honestly Martina, I'm a little bit jealous of you. I always wanted to be a dad, like.. I know I still have time and all but seeing you as a mother it's made me realise how much of my life I have wasted doing basically nothing." He took another sip of his hot chocolate, looking away from her for a moment after finishing his rather sad speech. He followed up the stairs behind her, having a sneaky look at her bottom, "don't worry I am not going to start any funny business, not tonight anyway."

Dymitrius nodded once and stood up, feeling her against him as he did. A small groan falling from his lips. What on earth was this girl doing took and why was he enjoying the thrill so much? Following her through, he ensured to sit next to her on the sofa, tucking one leg beneath him, his outher on the floor. Taking the glass one she had poured it, he took a few sips, looking around the room. Which picture would the safe be behind? Maybe it was upstairs in their bedroom. So eneere out of reach for the majority of their guests. Turning back to her, his eyes locked onto hers. "I don't want to push you but I would like to know to be honest, I'm not here to judge I'm just baffled a little by it. You were just the weird little emo in college and now you're Mrs Mafia." He joked. He wasn't sure how much his jokes annoyed her but it wasn't the way he always got around awkwardness, if he didn't feel particular comfortable, jokes were his back up every time. "Do I need to get the tissues ready? I'm not sure I'm prepared for emotions.." he teased, taking another long sip of his wine.

Martina nodded. "They say you're supposed to confront your fears and so I did. Turns out I'm just absolutely shit scared of them even more now. No more pony parties ever again." Resting her hot chocolate on the night stand, she reached down and picked up the television remote, flicking it on for a little background noise while they chatted. Sitting on the edge of the bed, she pulled down the covers. "I know you did. Even so young, I could tell you'd be a good dad one day.." maybe if I told you, you could have been one. The guilt was practically eating her up inside, the look on his face, so desperate and yearning for such a life. Had she done the right thing, inviting him back? Well, it was too late now. "But I'm sure one day you'll be the best dad possible." Standing back up, she swayed over to her dresser, pulling out a small pair of shorts and a sport bra, sliding out of her dress, she slipped into what would become her pyjamas. "Hmm, do I have to wait until date five?"

Hailee knew this was all wrong, if her husband found out she had taken another man into their house without his permission he would kill her and Dymitrius. But he isn't going to find out, he is away, they are all away. "Well, it all started not long after we finished college. Like I said, I was in a bad place and needed money so thats when my freelancing photography began. I had a guy reach out to me and asked me to get some pictures of him and his brother. It was an ordinary photoshoot for the most part until halfway through some of West's gang showed up, turns out the brothers owed them a lot of money and they weren't delivering.. " she paused, taking a long sip of her wine before resting the now empty glass down on the table and topping it up, "one of his guys shot them dead right in front of me. so Marcus had a choice, kill me so I didn't talk or hire me."  She stopped for a moment before continuing, "I ended up doing some little jobs, proving I wasn't about to run to the cops but that wasn't enough, he forced me to live with him. And then he fell for me."

Finlay could not help but laugh the more she spoke about her experience with the horses, "well you are one brave cookie Martina I'll give you that. but for your next birthday I am going to throw you the biggest pony party you have ever seen." he put on a pretend evil smirk but couldn't keep it up as he slid right back into a small laughing fit. "I really hope I can be, theres just so much I want to do with my child, take them places, share experiences, just things my dad never did for me. I want to make sure my kid has their dad there for them at all times." he let out a soft sigh, glad Martina understood him and was happy enough listening to him ramble on. He took the fall of silence as a chance to finish licking the cream off of his hot chocolate before proceeding to sip away at the hot liquid. "since it's you, we can wait until date four" he said with a soft chuckle, "or just whenever you are ready"

Dymitrius listened to her as she spoke, his eyes on her lips at all times. Her gorgeous, plump lips, he wandered whatbtheyd feel like against his skin, across his chest.. he knew those thoughts shouldn't have happened but damn it. It was all he wanted at that moment. It were as if the more he felt sorry for Hailee, the more he just wanted to sweep her up and hold her, kiss her and well, make love to her. Something Dymitrius had never done. "And you fell for him, right? Hailee not once in this story have you mentioned actually falling for your husband and being in love with him, you do realise that, don't you?" He reached his hand up to her face again, resting it on her cheek, using his thumb to stroke her soft skin. "I can't believe you had to deal with that shit.."

Martina grabbed one of her pillows and playfully hit him in the chest with it, clearly embarrassed about the horses. "Hey, you carry on and I'm gonna wear a clown mask to bed, we all know how you'd feel about that." She teased, sticking her tongue out at him. Picking up her fsde wipes she scrubbed at her skin, pushing her hair from her face. This was the real her, she never had time for make up, or hair, or dressing fancy. Motherhood was far too hectic for any of that. Sitting back down in bed, she stretched her legs out and picked up her cup, taking a few large gulps. "Fin, we both know that one day you're going to be an amazing father. You're so loving and caring there's no way you can't be." She smiled, a sweet, genuine smile.

Hailee started to fiddle with her fingers to distract from the serious turn of this conversation, "I think I did a little at the start, I suppose anyone would feel they fell for someone that seemed to care for you." she sighed lightly before continuing, "but now he takes other women home and I just need to act like it doesn't bother me and push through each day." Dymitrius was making her feel far too comfortable and she ended up letting her body rest against his and her head fell comfortably against his shoulder. Her hand slipping into his hand, squeezing it softly, "but there is no way out for me and I've adapted to survival. I'll be fine" her voice fell silent and she wiped a single tear away from her eye before it ruined her makeup.

"Oh NEIIGHHH" Finlay said in a mocking tone but he was in fits of laughter at the whole thing, that was until she mentioned his deathly enemy - the clown. "Now now Martina there is no need to mention the c word like that." he wiggled her finger over at her. "god to you remember when I took you to the circus and the damn clown just HAD to pick me out the crowd to participate, that was the single most horrifying experience I have ever gone through." He watched as she took her makeup off, sipping at his hot chocolate as she did, he was so use to seeing her like this but it had been so long that he felt his heart beat faster. "you are so beautiful Martina." he said it softly, sitting himself up a bit in the bed to give her a kiss on the cheek. "I hope you are right Martina, I really do." he said with a grin across his lips.
