it's different than when you have already joined, and there is a code but you don't have a chance to claim it, than when you have joined and there has been a code long time ago. PLUS, that would be a different prize for the other codes, so no, it wouldn't make it fair.
That is such a small detail, it's not worth discussing. It doesn't concern you anyway, since you are above that level. I think it's definitely reasonable to have such a limit, and I agree with all the rest of the suggestions, they're needed.
"it's not worth discussing"
sooo, it doesn't matter because i have a higher level and it has nothing to do with me because of that?
excuse me, but what the actual fuck? I still care about the fact that they are NEW and there is NOTHING they can DO ABOUT IT. It's not their freaking fault.

Everybody is worth it u little smartass.
they have the same fucking right to get the prizes as we do.
Well, there is a similar rule for not being able to trade until you're Youtube star, so I really don't see the problem? It's one code we're talking about, and as someone already mentioned, it doesn't take long to level up. So, yes, it is a small matter not worth discussing in comparison to the bigger problem, which is people claiming male codes on side accounts. If such a rule can stop this problem, then it should be enforced.

holy shit it's not that serious

anyways, no matter what, if you try to skew it like that there's always going to be someone missing a code. someone could sign up literally seconds after the code was maxed, someone could have a business trip, someone could have shit internet signal and miss out on a code

the whole site can't halt itself to make sure that literally everyone gets a code, and like i said with the whole 'sibling ip' thing, the need for regulation outweighs the need for exceptions

AND like I SAID; that person still has the freaking chance.
think. seriously.
someone who fucked up her internet or is on vacation, does not.

and you don't think it's serious because you are so pissed off about your own problems so that you don't care about theirs. Like every new person in vp would be trollin' and taking away "your" prizes.

it doesn't stop your freaking problems :---DDDD
No offense but that is pathetic.

it's not like that all of the newbies take away your prizes so you wanna revenge and take away theirs.
they are people, and not necessarily everyone makes "a side account" just to get a code.
it's not a "bigger problem". it takes an HOUR, while that time, all of the codes have been claimed. it's not fair

I agree with all the things in the first post.

I also think Karma needs to chill. There will always be people to miss codes. They'll understand why they couldn't claim the code while under street musicians: to prevent hoarding. I think it's only fair. Like Wheatley said, there will be more codes to come.

i still literally don't understand what you're talking about

-there's always going to be codes in the future
-there's always going to be at least one person that misses out on a code
-there's such a huge problem with side accounts taking codes that shadowjess herself has asked people to stop, and big surprise- they didn't!

i don't know where you got the idea that i'd make up a problem to "take revenge" on newbies, but okay.

Females claiming male codes is not a problem for me either, but obviously it's a problem for those who have male accounts. That is a bigger problem than a new user missing out on one code. And really, it doesn't help to be rude to get your message across.

An hour really isn't that much time, and it's not like they even release codes every day. So it really wouldn't be a problem.
Besides, I think it's just reasonable for a new account to be a certain (still low) level before they can access everything on a site (especially for example LE codes, which are.. you know, limited) - so that it's a bigger chance they'll actually stay and not just take up resources and then leave the same day.

and in case anybody wants sources on the whole shadowjess thing, she's said it here and here (screenshot of the post b/c i'm too lazy to dig through 217 pages to find it)

and not to mention that if you want to talk about female accounts being affected by this too, the SMT giveaway was recently claimed by several side accounts as well

this impacts all users, not just males

Suggested Fixes

Make the following against the rules:

-Claiming a code on a side account for the first 24 hours that the code is up.

-Selling a code set for 48 hours after the code has expired

-
Selling a code set while the code is still active

Make the following impossible to do:
-Claiming codes that aren't for your gender (from what I remember from botw, Kaj made it so that males couldn't accidentally claim female codes, but didn't make it vice versa)

-Claiming a code before an account is Street Musician (that way accounts won't claim a code then go inactive, effectively deleting the item)

Wouldn't it just be easier to send an email out to all male mains before the male code is posted? I just think that way it gives them a heads up to claim them before side accounts jump in Idk though
I agree that the regulations need to be tightened on it though

but there's still a flaw with the newbies thing, ppl could just make a sideacc, play for a while, and still claim the code that are released later on?
