Owl city was annoying and a blatant rip-off of The Postal Service.

When I was working retail over the holidays and had to hear fucking peppermint winter multiple times a day for 3 months I wanted to implode. holy shit.

What a word salad title. "Ok like I was comissioned to write a song about xmas so I need a christmasy sounding title. Christmas occurs in the winter and peppermint is a common theme ok sure "peppermint winter" there you go." fucking lazy and annoying. what does that even mean?

The auto-tune was very annoying and those cloyingly sweet lyrics. UGH. At least The Postal Service wasn't as sugary and could hold my attention. Adam's lyrics rarely made much sense and when they did I felt like I was going to get diabetes or something.

When I first heard "Fireflies" I felt like I needed to ask someone how to get to Sesame Street or like I was visiting a preschool center. When I realized his fanbase was primarily adolescent emo girls I died inside.

only song of his I ever liked:

It made me feel safe on seattle road trips tbh.

I don't think it's good. The criticism against Nickelback is they're highly derivative and overly produced. I agree. I just don't think their older stuff is intolerable. Mediocre, but I can tolerate it. Rockstar on the other hand.... fuck me.

@Croatoan Lol I blame her for my terrible sneakers and dresses phase in the 6th and 7th grade. My mom hated it and also thought Lilly Allen was annoying. FRIDAY NIGHT IS STILL A JAM! Also love Hard out Here. Really thought she was subversive and a refreshing change in comparison to most pop stars at the time. I wish she was bigger than someone like Katy Perry or whatever. Girls need her more than ever. At least they have Lorde I guess.
Same i still love "smile"

Nickelback fans who say the only reason people dislike them is because it's a fad can't accept the fact they're into shit music.

again I am not a fan. Rock Star is a terrible song. I agree they're generic and trite. I just don't think their older stuff is that bad and I really find it interesting that no one had a problem with them initially. All of a sudden everyone started hating them; even people whom I know liked a song or two. I don't think that's a coincidence.

I mean have I ever gone out of my way to listen to them? No. I still just don't think "You Remind Me" is horrible. More like meh.

i mean i am FAR from a nickelback fan but. i also kind of think that disliking them became a bit of a trend? like there r sooo many equally as bad, or even worse, famous bands ....... but it just became a thing for ppl to hate nickelback in particular, u cant really deny that
