The last fan contest was held back in October - which ended up being a slight mess on my side as I wasn't too sure how to set it up. If you don't know how they work or are new:

You can only join the contests on accounts with less than 500 fans. From there you need to gain the most fans within a set time frame to be able to win exclusive sets and credit.
Sounds easy, but it's rather stressful.


I've thought of a few options we could look at, as I would like to host them more often.


Please indicate in the poll which you would prefer or if you have any alternative suggestions, feel free to comment them.

The option 'don't do them' is not an option.



Just to clarify some smaller points:

Donating will be turned off - it was my mistake last time.

About deleting accounts- users have the choice to delete accounts themselves and it's  it something I can do. I also can't reset fans.

I agree with you on this :)
And from a designer perspective, it would be nice to just use credits sometimes. We still have trouble with enough male sets.

That's what my thoughts were with doing them shorter. No me likes doing an all nighter to keep their spot and I know what is rather be doing!

So may be like the option have 2 for credit and the third month for a set?

I think sets every month would be a lot especially if male sets also need to be made.

My only concern with these contests is how many empty user accounts there will be at the end of it all. Like im sure Kaj is probably doing this to increase the stats of how many players use this game, but it makes the website slow. If there was a way to have the accounts deleted *if players don't want to use them afterwards* automatically that would be nice.

I'd imagine because a contest like this is a good way to get newcomers to be active on the website and reward them with something that helps them get a leg up on the older users of a website.

Edit: Okay scratch what I said, if people are allowed to have multiple accounts to enter contests then there's no hope for newcomers. lol

I've spoken with Kaj about that - he doesn't really mind people making multi accounts for the contest. 

People can delete accounts themselves also if they like.
