Competition winners (by Account deleted)

Hi girls!

Two competitions have ended today and the winners have been chosen!

The first results are from the cooking competition from a while ago, where you had to submit your favourite recipe. All the recipes have been cooked and tasted, and the votes have been counted.

The prize for the easiest guide and the most imaginative recipe goes to:

Epoch, for her vegan carrot cake!

The prize for the best looking dish, with 25 votes, goes to:

Elisabeth, for her fruit wrap!

And finally, the prize for the tastiest dish goes to:

LiveLaughLove, for her chicken pasta!

Please give a big thanks to OwlInfestation for making this competition a success. She spent hours in the kitchen cooking your recipes, plating them up to your liking, taking pictures, tasting them. A lot of effort has been put into this and we're very grateful. If you want to take a look at the recipes, click here

Next up are the results from the Days or our Lives writing competition. I very much enjoyed reading all of your entries. It's good to see there are so many creative girls on Virtual Popstar.

The winner of the competition is:

Carmela

The winning entry can be found in the box to the right.

Everyone who joined the writing competition but didn't win, will still receive 1000pd for their effort put into the stories. I loved reading them and I think it's brave that you all shared such personal things.

Congratulations to all of the winners! Prizes will be send to your account as soon as possible.

We're currently experiencing some problems when it comes to sending popdollars or credits. Please be patient while we try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
The Responsibility of Family to Stay Together
Carmela

I believe staying together as a family can strengthen their bond and turn a miserable moment into a memorable moment.
One of my family mottos is, “If you come on a Brumet Family road trip, never expect anything and keep an open mind.” During the summer of 2013, my family decided we should try to take a trip from Kansas to Maine in a 1979 RV. We hadn’t taken a real family road trip since I was eleven months old, 18 years ago. In addition to myself, my parents, and my brother’s dog, the RV held my brother, his wife, their 3 years old Jaxon, and their 1 year old twins Kayleigh and Greyson.
The trip started normally with everyone speculating our destination, and then we hear, “Something’s broke!” My brother pulled over to the side of a busy highway. We were only 100 miles away from our starting point and two belts broke. We waited for an hour, while semis rushed past us and shaking the RV, for the men to come fix it. During that hour we started to get on each others nerves. Some wanted to leave and walk to the nearest town, but instead decided to stay and comfort each other. The belts couldn’t get fixed, but we could drive, carefully, to the next town to find a place to stay the night and fix the RV. We drove without power steering and no air-conditioning. We thought that the worse was over, but it started raining and with our luck, the windshield wiper, on the driver’s side, flew off.
By that time we had decided to instead go to Branson after we repaired the belts. Through this strange moment we were starting to come closer together as a family. Could anything else go wrong?
Well, we learned that if the gas tank is half full, going up hills, the engine gives out, and we start moving backwards. When that happened, three of us would grab a child and hold on for dear life. My mother grabbed Greyson, the antsy one. My father grabbed Jaxon, the calm one. I grabbed Kayleigh, the chunky one. Her weight pulled me backwards and as we were going backwards, the door to the outside flew open. I quickly adjusted my feet and instead we landed in the bathroom.
I learned through that experience more about my family than I ever knew. I could relate to my brother and his kids more than ever before. Kayleigh and I now hold a special bond, and because the children didn’t exactly know what was happening, they were happy. As I was on the ground in the bathroom, Kayleigh laid her hands on my face then laid down for a peaceful nap.
Looking back we laugh about all that happened and we changed our motto slightly. “If you come on a Brumet family road trip, never expect anything, keep an open mind, and stay together as a family so it will be a memorable trip,”
