HAILEE'S GUIDE TO PARTY MUSIC

Hey guys! Hailee here, one of my favorite things about summer are all the awesome parties I get to attend to! I love just getting together with my friends and being silly!

What makes the perfect summer party to me is the selection of music. Now, no matter what your tastes are; when hosting a party you should have a little something to please everyone!

In the past, when I've thrown parties, I've asked my guests to recommend what kind of music they want to hear. Or in some cases, I've asked them to suggest some music that they might want to here over the course of the night. It makes the night more enjoyable, and everyone can find something to dance to!

Another suggest I have, however, you are playing your music (I just hook my iPod to a speaker), keep it away from your guests. There will be some guests who want to get hands-on and act like the DJ, so my suggestion is to keep your music player away from everyone. I've been to one too many parties where some guests start to change the song every couple of seconds until they find something they enjoy.

Afraid that those few Disney songs you have on your iPod will manage to slide in at some point? Create a playlist for the event. This will help you filter what songs you end up playing during the night! And remember, always include extra hours of music. The last thing you would want is to run out of songs mid-way through your party!

PHOTOSYNTHESIS TALKING ABOUT FOOD

Hey everyone. Anyone who knows me really well can tell you how much I love food, especially party food. You know what's better than party food? SUMMER party food! There's so much to choose from for any occasion! Here are my top picks and tips for your summer party.

BBQ are always fun and delicious, with many things that could be cooked on the BBQ. Some of my favorites are hamburgers, corn, and chicken. If you're having a party with many people invited, hotdogs is always a safe bet. They are easy to cook, don't take long, and you can cook a lot at the same time. Hamburgers are a great option too, but they tend to take longer to cook, and not to mention can be more expensive. Corn is a delicious side dish but does take a while to cook. I'd also recommend baked potatoes and maybe some green beans.

For appetizers, you can't go wrong with a salad or fresh veggie tray (or both!). Summer is the best time for these because all the ingredients are fresh, not to mention most people are trying to get their "summer body" so it's a great healthy option. Salads can be spruced up with nuts and seeds, and maybe some fresh apples. Pair with a nice raspberry vinegarette for that summer salad feel. 

For dessert, fresh fruit is a great option! Everyone likes fresh fruit on a hot summers day. Maybe try freezing some with your favourite fruit juice and try frozen fruit Popsicles. Don't go overboard for dessert. Most likely by this time your guests will be full from all the other delicious food,  and you might be left with some leftovers (not that there's anything wrong with that. More for you right!)

Finally, to drink I'd recommend either making homemade fruit punch (fruit, fruit juice, and sprite. Super easy!) OR just having cans of pop and water. If your party is outside, guests will probably drink more, so make sure to provide as much to drink as you can. Maybe you can spruce them up with a fancy little umbrella!

All in all, just make sure you have enough food for everyone, and maybe provide a few options. When all else fails, you can't go wrong with a potluck! Enjoy your summer <3

AVOCOVO'S LITTLE ADVICE ON DECORATING

Hello there, everyone! Iu here, as you got used to. Today, if you want to have the best party ever, I'll tell you some small tricks for that. Since I was a kid, I loved to help with decorations, placing and replacing them, crafting my own and such!

As you guessed, a party it's not a party if you don't have that „little more” out there. When it's about a party, you just don't want to have some boring chairs and tables around. I think decorating it's the most fun part, to be honest!

Summer it's about bright and happy colors, right? So, before beginning to decorate, make sure of choosing the ones you think will represent your party the most! It could be a color that you like particularly, but it could also be one that has a meaning to you! Get wild and combine lots of colors, but not too much of them!

When it comes to decorating, be sure not to load everything up. You need to remember that keeping it simple is good!

Handmade decorations tend to be simple and you don't usually have to buy much materials to make them. It's also very fun to make things yourself! Patterns are pretty popular and doing one yourself may add to the magic.

Also, don't fear thrift-shopping. You may find things that could be useful, such as chairs, covers you can use to paint on, mats, rugs etc!

If you think about a themed-party, try your best to represent the theme as much as you can. It's necessary to be prepared much before you announce it, so that everything will be at its place!
