Hey everyone, Sarah here. This week has been a rough one! You know what we all need? A vacation! I'd love to go on a vacation, but unfortunately, college isn't cheap. So instead, let's quickly check out my top 5 vacation spots that I've either been to or would like to go to, all from the comfort of my own living room *tear*.
Shout out to BaileyyRosee for a wonderful layout!
Cayman Islands
I've been here twice before, and let me tell you, it's beautiful. Both visits were stops on a cruise I was on. I liked it so much, I've actually considered moving there! Two of my favourite things I did was the sea turtle farm, and swimming with stingrays. First up, sea turtles! I love turtles, they are one of my favourite animals, so this was an amazing experience for me! I got to pick up a baby sea turtle, and I loved every minute of it. I wish I could have taken him home with me, though. The second thing I liked about the Cayman Islands was getting to swim with sting rays! They are such majestic creatures and great swimmers. There were hundreds if not thousands of them out on a little bay near the mainland. Would definitely recommend.
Oh, while you're there, make sure to check out Hell! Yes, that's right, there is a little town called Hell, due to its interesting rock formation.
Costa Rica
Costa Rica is one of those places I haven't been to yet, but would absolutely love to go! I was supposed to go with classmates of mine in grade 11, but chose a different trip, that ended up getting cancelled anyway. I really want to go zip-lining through the rain forest. I think it would be an exciting yet rewarding experience, though I might need a little push to get me going.
I also really want to enjoy its beautiful beaches and scenery. Don't forget to take lots of pictures, because you may only get to experience this beautiful island once.
Paris
Ah Paris, the city of romance. I just want to get a typical picture in front of the Eiffel tower while wearing a beret. Not to mention all the delicious French cuisine!
I also really want to check out the Louvre. I'm not really a huge art lover, but there are definitely a few pieces I want to check out. I think it would be amazing to see famous art up close!
I'd also like to check out a few of the historical buildings while I'm there. You never know how much longer a building will be there, and I think the architecture of older buildings is just beautiful.
Canada
I know, very vague, but Canada has so much to offer that it would be hard to narrow it down! Now some of you are probably thinking "But Sarah, don't you live in Canada?" Yes, I do, but there is so much to see that why not take a vacation to my own Country?
First of all, there's British Columbia. I want to see the breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains! While I'm out there, I'd also like to pop over to Alberta to go to the West Edmonton Mall.
Next, we have the East Coast. I've been to Newfoundland when I was 8. In fact, most of my family lives there, but I really want to go again. I want to enjoy the culture more. I also REALLY want to go whale watching.
Florida
Who doesn't love Disney World! I know I do! One of the best vacations I've taken so far was 10 days in Disney World/Universal Studios (so disappointed that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter wasn't around then. I probably could have spent all 10 days there).
I'm a huge ride fanatic, so Disney World was a lot of fun for me. My favourite ride was Mission: Space. Great ride for thrill seekers.
Now Disney World isn't the only think you can enjoy in Florida. It has some great beaches, lots of shopping, and a few other tourist attractions to check out!
