Eurovision!

The winners of the eurovision contest was Denmark with Emmelie de Forest singing beautifully for them her song 'Only Teardrops'. Azerbaijan finished second. In last place came Ireland with Ryan Dolan, finishing with only five points.
Denmark's De Forest came with 281 points leading denmark to be the hosts of the 59th contest coming next year.
De Forest sang her beautiful song barefoot on the stage, before she performed she remarked, "It makes me feel closer to the ground, the earth and makes me feel more relaxed."

Same-Sex Marriage law signed in france!

The French president, François Hollande, finally has signed a law authorising same-sex couples to marry and adopt children, after months of street protests and a rise in homophobic attacks. The first same-sex marriage is due to be held in Montpellier in the south of France on the 29th of May, best wishes to the lovely couple!

Russian space lizards return to Earth

Yep you heard me right! A Russian capsule carrying mice and lizards finally has returned home after a month in space. The scientists in charge of the experiment claim it was intended to test the effects of weightlessness - and other factors of space - on cell structure. Sadly a report came in recently stating that some of the animals that were launched did not survive the flight. Vladimir Sychov, deputy director of the institute of medical and biological problems, said "This was the first time that animals had spent so much time in space on their own."
The animals are currently being flown back to Moscow to undergo a series of tests to study the effects of the flight.
