DIY Bath Bombs (by Account deleted)

Hey guys! Hailee here back again with another article for you all. For Valentine's Day, one of the gifts my boyfriend had gotten me – well made me, was bath bombs.

I love going to Lush, but I can even admit that it can get expensive! So, my boyfriend went out to a bulk store, and bought all the ingredients needed for around 20$ (Canadian Currency) and now I have 6 lovely bath bombs and extra materials to make more!!

A few things went wrong while he was making them, and they turned out a little wonky, but I tested them in the bath, and they were lovely. Over the weekend, we made another batch trying another recipe, and they worked out so much better. So today I'm going to share the new tested recipe so you guys can make your own!!
Here's what you'll need:
  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • ½ cup citric acid
  • ½ cup Epsom salts (I get the ground up version, but the larger bath salts work too! Your bombs might be a little lumpy)
  • 1 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. essential oil (I have lavender and grapefruit, and they smell amazing)
  • 3 tsp. caster oil (You can use any oil, we used vegetable, and it worked out just fine)
  • Bath bomb mold (I used a muffin tin and packed them in very well. You can use anything you want really for this step!)
  • Optional: Food coloring (I like making mine bright, funky colors but you can skip this step if you don't have access to food coloring)

Directions:
  • Step one – Place all dry ingredients in a bowl, and mix them until they are all well combined with a whisk.
  • Step two – In a separate container, mix all liquids together. This consists of the; oil, water, essentials oil and color are added. You can add a little more of the fragrances, depending on how powerful of a scent you like to have.
  • Step three – Slowly add the liquid mixture to the dry and combine. I usually add a tiny spoonful at a time while doing this step.
  • Step four – After you have well mixed your ingredients together, pack them tightly into your mold. You need to move fast, so the mixture doesn't start to dry out!
  • Step five – Let them dry overnight, and then you are good to use them!

I went to buy my friend a few from lush and it was honestly like 16$, which is a little out of my budget sad But I hope that you get to make super cool bath bombs !!!
