NT Monthly Magazine: June (by Krystle )

At the beginning of June, the bootcampers of the Social Media Team were announced. These were chosen after applications were held in May. A total of thirteen users were chosen, and then divided into three groups, each one assigned to be in charge of either Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. As part of the bootcamp, the three bootcamp groups hosted a number of activities. The Instagram team held a classic Who wore it best? competition where users had to make an outfit with a pink house-shaped hat designed by Encrede. The competition was Pride themed, and both male and female winners will receive a colourful set made by Ad0xa. The Twitter team arranged a raffle where both males and females could win an outfit designed by River. The Facebook team hosted a game night where several games of skribbl.io were played. The top three users in each round, both male and female, won an artist-inspired outfit designed by Lily. To round off the bootcamp, all three teams joined together to host a code hunt where you could get a Pride-themed set made by Lily. After the bootcamp was over, SMT announced that nine new members would be joining the team. We in NT would like to congratulate all the new members and we look forward to seeing what activities you all have in store for us!

June third ET posted their first dress up competition for the month, titled “Greek mythology”. With this they also announced that they will be hosting a new competition in this little series every month featuring different gods and goddesses from Greek mythology. This month the chosen goddess was Selene - Goddess of the moon and mother of vampires. If you click here you can check out all the amazing entries in this competition, and here are the winners of the beautiful moon goddess set for females and matching items for males designed by Chalya.

For this month’s design competition the theme was zodiac, and the incredible prizes are designed by Chalya for the female set and Anda for the male. You can check out all the creative designs sent in for the competition here!

ET’s next dress up competition was inspired by the supernatural, and for your look you were supposed to get inspired by a mythological creature, or even combine two. This competition featured two amazing sets as prizes, where the female set is designed by Gravitation and the male by Crown. We are excited to see who they choose as winners among all the fantastic entries that you can check out here!

Due to the bootcamp there was a little delay in other SMT events and announcements, but we have now got the winners of the gorgeous Solovey hairs from April’s wwib hosted by the Tumblr group. You can check out who won in this post on their page, and if you want to get reminded of the different entries, click here. Congratulations everyone!

The big event of this month was of course the SMT bootcamp, and during the bootcamp the different groups hosted a few competitions, which included a wwib dress up, a raffle and even a scribble comp. You can read more about all these different competitions other places in this magazine. Congratulations to all the bootcamp members for hosting successful events!

The June Mega Credit Week ran from June 3rd to June 10th and featured, as always, some gorgeous sets (as usual 6 sets for females and 4 for males). There were no bonus sets this month. The sets were a nice mixture of styles and designers, so hopefully, there was a bit for everyone. The sets were very well received by the community.
This month’s auction was on June 8th. Both female and male cr set was part of Solovey’s recent Winx collection. The female pd set was designed by Lily and based upon Tom Holland’s Singing in the Rain/Umbrella lip sync performance. The male pd set was made by Igneous .

June is also known as the official Pride month which is something the teams of VP have paid attention to by creating blogs, articles, different competitions and other fun events.

The YouTube team is hosting a dress-up event where you have to dress up based on a LGBT+ flag. The event is going on to 5th of July and you can check it out here.

The SMT bootcampers hosted both a pride-themed WWIB and also a word hunt which you already have read about earlier in the magazine so I won’t go much deeper into that. We in NT really enjoyed the events hosted by the bootcampers.

A BloggerTeam member told us some interesting information about a transgender activist, if you want to find out more of the activist then you can check the blog out here.

We in NT also contributed to the Pride month by spreading some information about LGBT rights around the world, you can find the very interesting and important article here.

Another BT member wrote an interesting blog about Lili Elbe who was one of the first to get a sex reassignment surgery. You can read more about Lili Elbe in the blog here.

"In 1989, Denmark became the first country to recognize a legal relationship for same-sex couples, establishing registered partnerships, which gave those in same-sex relationships "most rights of married heterosexuals, but not the right to adopt or obtain joint custody of a child" thats not the same as legalized marriage. Denmark didnt do that until 2012
