December gave us some of the well known competitions we love, but also some new surprises. Let’s take a look!
SMT hosted two who wore it best competitions this month, as they’ve done lately, and both with a seasonal flare. The first one was themed after the Christian celebration observed 13 December of Lucia or Saint Lucy’s Day. Inspired by the Scandinavian tradition of ‘Luciatog’, for this competition you were supposed to style either st Lucia’s crown of candles or the starboy hat, which you could get from an unlimited code provided in the forum. As well as the unlimited Lucia items, SMT’s designer Ad0xa made the prize items for this
competition, which were a green hair and yellow star hair clips for both genders, though the hairs were slightly different.
The second wwib competition was inspired by another Christian holiday observed in December, namely Christmas. For the Christmas wwib, the items to style were a little green elf dress for females and a red “ugly christmas sweater” for males, both to be found for pd in the fashion shop as normal. The prize, which was the same for both genders, was a cute white teddy bear designed by Mikkelrev.
ET also had a theme over their two competitions this month - winter. Both posted on the same day, though one a dress up competition to finish off the four seasons, and the other, something we don’t see too often, a photography competition. For the dress up competition you were supposed to create an outfit based on ice or snow, and the forum quickly got filled with white and blue looks. The prizes for this competition were wintery street style sets for both genders, female made by Gravitation and male by Moss.
For a chance to win the beautiful prizes from the photography competition, you were to post a photo you have taken yourself that you think represent the theme winter. Though, as not everyone lives somewhere with white winters, your entry did not have to include snow. The female prize is designed by Mordiera and Perlivian, while the male prize is again by Moss. We are still yet to find out the winners of the two ET competitions, so good luck to everyone who entered!
The last competition to talk about this time was hosted by a different team than the two that usually hosts competitions, ForumTeam. For FT’s dress up competition, you were supposed to create a look based on one of your New Year’s resolutions. Such a vague theme like this opens for a lot of variety in looks, which is really nice to see. The prizes for this competition, as you can see below, was a set made by Solovey for females and by Dani for males.
Congratulations to all winners of this month’s competitions!
