Hi! For my very first article, I have decided to be quite factual and in this, I’m going to explain something that is commonly misunderstood. All apologies for the short length, I've had a rough week with long lectures and a crazy, skidding car but I assure you that the next news posts from me will be much better - thanks!
Forum VS Thread.
Constantly, this mistake is made in the boards so I figured I would just clear some confusion and explain the misunderstandings. There are people who do know the difference and there are those that don’t and the latter is who this paragraph is directed at. An internet forum is a discussion area on a website. A forum describes the whole “community” section of an site where users create threads and where other users post on these friends. Often, a forum is made up of sub-forums, which are given titles such as “General”, “Music”, “Help”, “Newbies” or “games” just to name a few. On the other hand, a thread is a chain of posts that exist in a forum. For example, I could make a new post in the “General” forum, titled “Do you like my shoes?” causing people to create reply posts with their answers. Collectively, this group of posts which stems from my original topic is known as a thread. Hope that makes sense!
