Hairstyles 8/16 (by Forget )

Welcome to another edition of Friday News with Kitten! Today we are going to be talking about hairstyles - I have some simple hairstyles that you can do. Some are for a more fancy occasion while others are to throw up your hair and get it out of your face!

Bun

To create a bun, you will need 2 things - a hairband and a donut bun. Most of us should have hairbands lying around the house but you may need to buy a donut bun; they are quite common and can be found at retail stores like Walmart & Target. Before starting, brush out your hair for a neater look unless a messy look is what you want.

Step 1: Gather your hair as if you were going to put it into a high ponytail. Once at desired height, put your hair through the bun holder and keep the holder near the top of your hair.

Step 2: Tuck the tips of your hair under the bottom of the holder.

Step 3: Start pulling the bun down until you reach the tightness that you would like. The tighter, the longer it will stay on.

Step 4: Wrap an elastic over the bun to secure it. Hairspray is optional.

Now you have an adorable bun!

Ponytail with Small Braid

This style is simple and is good to get your hair out of your face while looking cute. You will need a bobby pin and an elastic!

Step 1: Take a small part on either side of your hair and begin braiding it. To braid, split the piece to have 3 pieces or grab two other pieces of hair and cross them over until you reach close to the end of your hair.

Step 2: Bring the braid up and bobby pin it to where you are going to be starting the ponytail.

Step 3: Put your hair in a ponytail using an elastic. Put your hair to desired height and tie it in a ponytail wrapping the elastic around 2-3 times.

Voila! Simple cuteness to get your hair up and out of your face.

No-Heat Loose Curls

Curls are fun styles, but some of us aren't allowed to use heat or choose not to. This is a hairstyle that is time-consuming but works quite well. You will only need one elastic!

Step 1: Dampen your hair. This is OPTIONAL but the style works best when your hair is a little wet. Get a spray bottle, fill it with water, and then spray your hair.

Step 2: Twist one side of your hair. The tighter, the better the curls. Hold it while you repeat this on the other side. If you must, get somebody to hold the twist for you while you twist the other side.

Step 3: Bring them together below your neck and then twist them into each other. Secure with an elastic.

Step 4: Wait. 5+ hours or overnight would be a good wait time for the best curls.

Step 5[optional]: Once taking the elastic off, use hairspray to make the curls stay longer.

Now you have some nice loose curls and you didn't have to use any heat!

"No-Bangs" Simple Style

Sometimes our bangs can be a bit annoying and we can just keep trying to get them out of our faces. This style is super simple and can be done pretty quickly. It's simple and adorable! You will only need a bobby pin.

Step 1: Gather your bangs into one.

Step 2: Bring them back to the top of your head.

Step 3: Use a bobby pin to secure them.

Step 4[optional]: Use a teasing comb or your hands to give a small poof at the top of your head. It adds a small touch to the style.

Now you've seen some simple and cute hairstyles that you can do! I hope you enjoyed the article!

@Felicity, Agoraphobia, and Jasmine13579 - I really wanted to do pictures but it was really difficult since I couldn't find the webcam and the camera was dead (plus I don't know how to upload them to my computer) so I'm sorry! :s But anyways, thank you for all the comments <3
