Time for a celebrity article! Today I have to talk to you about my big obsession who is currently making faces in the background..Marina Diamandis! So, if you were looking for some gossip, sorry, today you're just getting some facts about the most wonderful person on Earth!!

Marina Lambrini Diamandis is currently 28 years old and was born in Wales. She comes from a Greek and Welsh descent - her mother was Welsh and her father was Greek. She has released two albums so far - Electra Heart and The Family Jewels. Marina started getting really into music at the age of 20 releasing these EP's - Mermaid vs. Sailor, The Crown Jewels, The American Jewels, and Give Me The Money. She has had two songs that got quite known, Primadonna and How to Be A Heartbreaker. Primadonna made it onto the video game for WII and Kinect along with her song Oh No! This was a big step for Marina.

The Family Jewels was her first album more focused on Marina's personal life. This was a very alternative album and would've fit the music style back in 2010 when it was released but people now could classify some of the music as weird. Her most famous song off of that album was Hollywood, also one of her first songs written for the album.

Electra Heart was released in 2012 with the first archetype, or music video in the series, was released in late 2011. The first archetype was "Fear and Loathing" which really explained Electra Heart. Electra Heart was a pretty hard-to-figure-out album because we had no idea which order the archetypes could go in nor what Electra Heart really was - was it a character? Was it an illusion? In some interviews, Marina had stated it was a person but in others she said that is was an illusion.

Marina is currently working on her third studio album. Rumors say that it will be called "Heartcore" which was supposed to be the name of her short fan-film supposedly releasing after her Lonely Hearts Club tour ending in May. That film has not yet been released but the rumor will stand. Marina had said that this album will be released around the time Electra Heart was released (08.08 was the first music video, the album releasing in spring 2012) so we can keep looking forward to that!!
