A Thought, for Just a Penny (by Private)

Life as a child must have been so simple. Children, undoubtedly, are capable of seeing the beauty in everything. They are also totally incapable of lying. These two items having been noted, don't you think it's strange we have to grow out of this sight? Well, not everyone. There are still some fortunate sparing handfuls of beings lying around, squirming to make it known: Our world is beautiful. Earth, as we know it, is possibly the most perfected item within our grasp, within such short distance. Step out on your front lawn, and it's practically...uplifting. Strange. To me, the privilege of being able to just take a walk in the woods is practically going to heaven. Next time you go outside (and I mean really outside, not in the city, but a nice quiet countryside), take a good look around you. Can't you see it? Can't you hear them? The air is your guide, follow the flow of the breeze. The flowers dance, the branches of the trees whisper, lusting for you to relish in the almighty supremacy of nature over man. Then, once you begin to feel it, envelope yourself in it. Sit in the wispy grass, lay down and watch the sky, breathe in the scent of wild lilacs...It's beauty in the purest form, our world. It just takes some longer than others to realize it. So, with that being said now, isn't it ironic how the world is full of such ugly actions? A place so raw and awe-inducing...so overridden with diseases like murder andwar and pollution...It's frightening, really. It's terrifying how one species, human, is so capable of such disrespectful things. But then the beauty turns into blinding power when you see that, no matter how much we may screw up, Earth will always be here. The most beautiful of them all...right at our finger tips.
