La Cinematheque (by Motoko )

'I think cinema, movies, and magic have always been closely associated. The very earliest people who made film were magicians'- Francis Ford Coppola

The creation of film can not only influence the minds of many audiences but it can also allow film makers to express their own kind of magic, through fantasy or even realism. Never less. ...... In todays article, it is all about film (obviously). From the new releases, to remakes, to quick facts & french cinema...i hope you all to enjoy LA CINEMATHEQUE! (which refers to a beautiful cinema museum in France that holds a large amount of films, props and film documents from all around the world)

I would love to thank Lively for creating this fantastic layout! :D :D
Can you guess the 7 films listed on the side? First 3 with the correct films will receive a prize.

A Fantastic Fear of Everything-
Staring Simon Peg and Alan Drake
When i watched the trailer for this film, i actually thought it was a disturbed children's movie then realized it was rated R and based on an author who is paranoid everyone is watching him and has an obsession with serial killers. However one of the unique things about this film is it keeps the audience wondering and deciding what we see on the screen is real or imagined. (FEB 7)

Welcome to Yesterday
When I watched the trailer for this science-fi film, i found it quite intriguing..if you're interested in time travel or a fan of back to the future, this would be the one to watch! (OCT 3)

ⓦ

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2
After the first film, again this one is full of colour and aesthetics. If you're a fan of the first film then i would highly recommend the second.

๑۩۞۩๑

Vampire Academy
If you're familiar or read the book series by Richelle Mead, then you would most likely be familiar with the film.

๑۩۞۩๑

The Wolf On Wall Street
Staring Leonardo Diacaprio who may have a chance to win his first Oscar! This 8 star film is quite controversial however has also received many positive reviews.

Film in France is most famous for their Cannes Film Festival. It is an international film festival which presents all genres of film.
◕ ‿◕
Some of the nominations from 2013 include-
Blue is The Warmest Colour
The Bling Ring
The Stranger By The Lake

Cannes Film Festival 2014 will be opened by the film 'The Great Beauty'! Staring Nicole Kidman.

2O14 is not only bringing some amazing new films but there is also going to be few remakes! (I'm still waiting for a harry potter remake) Just thought I should list a few-
  1. Endless Love (1981)- This very cliche but also beautiful love story was also based on Scott Spencer's novel who didn't like the film at all! We hope he likes the remake.
  2. Robocop (1987) This original Robocop was much more darker with a lot more violence. However it is said the new Robocop will definitely be one worth seeing.
  3. Annie I'm sure we are all familiar of the musical and film Annie! The new movie will be released in December (quite a wait)
INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT FILM
